49 Empty Decorations (1/2)

Showers of light rained down onto Song City as a lonely teenager made his way back home.

Not many people are outside due to them still sleeping, yet the birds are already chirping happily as they are flying round the city.

Yang Guang finally reached his home, normally nobody is there to greet him, but today he heard the sounds of people talking and laughing.

”Yang Guang, you are back. How was work?” Yang Xin Ai asked as she saw Yang Guang opening the front gate, Yang Jiao Long and Yang Dou Wang also stopped what they are doing and perked up his ears.

Yang Guang noticed these small details and casually said to them. ”The usual, I go out at night and come back with a tried body in the morning, so I'm going to sleep now.”

Just like that, Yang Guang left his family and headed up to his bed. Yang Xin Ai grumbled to herself and told her father and brother that they should report the company where Yang Guang is working at.

”No that would be a waste of your time; I highly doubt that they would do anything about it.” Yang Jiao Long said coldly as he shoots a glance at Yang Dou Wang.

Yang Dou Wang hammered a nail into the wall as he hung up the lantern before telling Yang Jiao Long. ”What Yang Guang is doing now is for the greater good of Song City.”

”How could sitting at a convenience store at night help Song City?” Yang Xin Ai asked curiously as she could not wrap her head around the idea of Yang Guang helping Song City by sitting around.

'Damn it, we forgot that she didn't know that the damn hunters exist!'

Yang Dou Wang let out a dry cough and told his daughter that Yang Guang is helping the city by serving the citizens even though it is late at night.

”How noble had my nephew become.” Yang Xin Ai said with a smile as she continued putting up the decorations.

Time passed like a flowing river, without anyone noticing the final decorations are being hung up. At this time, Yang Guang woke up and started to look for something to eat.

”Yang Guang, come here and hang this up.” Yang Xin Ai signaled her nephew to come and hang the Chinese character for good fortune on the wall.

”Your father used to be the one who did this…” Yang Jiao Long said with a mournful tone as he looked at Yang Guang who had hung the decoration.

Yang Xin Ai nodded with satisfaction as she cheerfully said. ”We managed to get this done before night!”

As soon as she said that, she signaled to her son and husband to switch on the decorations. The warm red light shone out from the lanterns as they gave the house a festive vibe.

”Daddy, does this remind you of your childhood?” The pair of twins, Yang Xiao Xing and Yang Xiao Yang asked their father.
