”I mean, I think Jim was enough…” murmured Keira because she did not see the point of adding another bodyguard for her. Jim was too capable already and there was no threat at all… unless..

She felt Zach was being too protective at her lately. With knitted eyebrows, she asked, ”Is there something wrong? Why are you tightening my security? Is there something I should know?”

Zach sighed because it was hard for him to tell lies to his wife but he did not want her to get worried especially during this time of her pregnancy, so he simply said, ”Two is always better than one… Take Cobra as a replacement of John. Besides, your condition is not simple. It's not just about security but about your safety and our babies.”

Then he grinned and added with a tease, ”Jim won't be able to carry you alone if something happens.” Keira's face crumpled because her husband would often tease her  about her big round belly. She was also bigger and it was true that one man would not be able to carry her alone.

However, even Zach said things in a jest, Keira could sense it still… There was something more to it that he was not telling her about. She raised her eyebrows and said, ”You're hiding something from me. You know I hate it when you hide something...”

Zach heaved a euphoric sigh of defeat before he asked, ”Do you trust me?”

Keira nodded with crumpled face. She hated those lines because what would follow next was Zach would still not tell her a thing. So she said, ”Yeah I know what you'll say next. 'Trust me because it's for your own good. I will tell you everything soon'. Geez… You do know that you'll be killing your wife with curiosity right?”

Of course Zach knew it… But then he was still hopeful for Keira not to be burdened since he would handle things carefully.

Keira looked intently at her husband whose eyes were begging her not to be stubborn and follow his orders instead. She huffed and exhaled air out of her lungs loudly before she agreed and said, ”Okay… I'll follow whatever you say.”

She knew Zach was considering her pregnant condition so she would not  pursue the matter and let her husband be at ease. Zach smiled and hugged Keira but her big bump was preventing him. Keira laughed and turned her back on him instead. ”There hug me from behind…”

Zach laughed but gladly and lovingly hugged his obedient wife as he whispered, ”thank you my star…” He could hear Keira's heavy breathing, indicating that she was already asleep. Zach released a sigh of relief, grateful that his wife no longer pursued the matter.

It was said that 'keep your friends close and your enemies closer' and that was what he would do...
