”Are you sure about this?” Keira asked Zach for the first time as their helper brought their luggage to the car.
Today, they would move to live at Liu's ancestral mansion for six months as per the Liu's tradition...
”Yes… I'm very sure… Why? Are you hesitating?” Zach asked with a grin.
Keira shook her head as she commented, ”No, I'm not. You know I'll follow you wherever you go… I'm just making sure that you really want to do this, and not just because you feel sorry for Old Madam Liu…”
Then she chided herself, ”Grandma. Feel sorry for your grandma. Geez, I should practice calling her 'Grandma' more often.”
Zach laughed and held her hand as they walked toward the car.
”You aren't convinced that I want this too?” Zach asked.
Keira pouted her lips…
Zach had explained to her why he had agreed to use his real surname. It was because he felt it was unfair to his biological father, Charles Liu.
Zach heard a lot of good things from his mother about his biological father.
His father, Jonathan Lim, was a great father to him, and his father had gotten the chance to spend time with him all throughout his childhood, from the moment he was born. While his biological father, Charles Liu, did not get that chance at all. So he wanted to use his biological father's surname to honor him. He knew his father would understand.
”Hmm… And soon, you will enter Liu's Group… I heard from Lyra that they have plenty of beautiful female employees there… and sexy too… Geez, the old madam, Uhm, I mean Grandma knows how to pick her employees well… Only those with an attractive appearance. Such a discriminative Hitl…. Uhm, I mean, Grandma. Uhm, I mean, she chose well...” Keira grumbled with pouty lips when they were already inside the car. She knew this from Lyra, and also because she had studied Old Madam Liu's profile well back then...
It was a bit hard for her to control her words when it comes to Old Madam Liu, but she knew she should learn to respect her because she was her husband's grandmother.
Zach turned to face Keira. He chuckled as he looked at her in disbelief and said, ”Do I sense a hint of jealousy there? I can't believe this...Since when do you lack confidence, Keira Chan?”
Keira frowned...
”It's because my belly is growing fast, and soon the word 'Sexy' won't be suitable to describe me anymore.”
Zach shook his head and grinned as he said, ”But you are the sexiest woman in my eyes… The only one for me...”
”You're saying that now, but once I become bigger…”
Zach immediately sealed Keira's lips with his to stop her from uttering any more words. Then he whispered with a tease, ”But I'm planning to make you bigger every other year…”
Keira's eyes widened in horror while Zach chuckled and kissed her nose. He was already used with Keira's mood swings every now and then. The Doctor said it was normal and should be expected. Some pregnant women only experience it during their first trimester, while others experience it throughout their pregnancy.
