”I'm fine, I'm going to rest first. You should go to sleep as well. Good night.” With great difficulty, An Ning managed to put on a calm tone as she spoke.
Two hours later, as she lay in bed, An Ning was still not sleepy at all. The only thing she couldn't get rid of in her mind was Jiang Jia's cold face and the many messy scenes that flashed past one by one, causing her to feel even more agitated.

”An Ning!”
Just as An Ning had walked out of the Xu family's gate, she heard a voice that caused her entire body to stiffen. She slowly turned her head and was surprised to see Jiang Xianxian standing by the side of the car, looking at her tiredly.
”An Ning, last night's incident …”
Jiang Jia's cold face revealed a somewhat guilty expression. Looking at An Ning's haggard appearance, he regretted not explaining clearly why he was with Ji Mingzhen on the phone. Seeing this, An-Ning mistook Jiang's cold guilt for regret and Ji Mingzhen going to bed.

”We're already engaged. I hope you won't come looking for me in the future!”
There were so many things to say, but An Ning chose a way to stab herself while stinging Jiang Jia. After saying that, An Ning boarded Xu Xin's car without looking back.
Watching the two of them get on the car and leave, Jiang Jia coldly clenched his fists, his nails digging deep into the meat of the car, yet he didn't notice anything. His eyes were red as he stared at the car.
Remembering that An-Ning had purposely used hope to take revenge on him, Jiang Jia became angrier the more he thought about it. His normally rational mind also lost its sense of judgement, and he chose the dumbest way to use Ji Mingzhen to take revenge on An-Ning.
