C3 (1/2)
There were no paint trays under the drawing board. Instead, there were several gray pencils on the table. An Ning had one in her hand.
On the paper was a portrait drawn with pencil. The face was not clear, as if it was not finished yet. An Ning's brush strokes were very light. One could tell that her master hadn't put all of his concentration into drawing, so her brush strokes were extremely light.
Jiang Jia didn't say anything. She just stared at the unformed drawing, her face showing nothing strange.
An Ning turned around and continued to pick up her pencil. Jiang watched coldly as she gently waved her hand on the drawing paper, causing a mark to appear on it.
When she was drawing, there was some kind of reserved brilliance on her body. She was like a pearl hidden deep in the sea. After hiding for a long time, she suddenly broke through the surface of the sea and emitted a bright and gentle light. If someone was beside her, their mind would be attracted by her current temperament.
At this time, Jiang Xianxin was also slightly drowsy. He looked at An Ning, who was also looking at her painting. There were only a few steps between the two of them, but no one spoke, as if an invisible gap existed between them.
He forgot what he had wanted to say. In the midst of the rustling of the brush, An Ning turned a blind eye to him, causing him to feel slightly restless. Suddenly, Jiang Jia asked her in a deep voice: ”Do you know that tomorrow is Na Jing's birthday?”
An Ning was slightly startled. She thought that a well-trained person like Jiang Jia Han wouldn't casually interrupt other people's business. Perhaps very soon, he would feel bored and leave. She didn't expect that after such a long time, he would still be here.
The Birthday of the Scene... Little Jiang Jun is soon to be seven years old brother's birthday. Will tomorrow be Jiangjingjing's eighteen-year-old coming of age ceremony?
Jiang Jun Jing was from the Jiang family. She had met the person closest to her, so she really should prepare some gifts for him.
”I understand. Tomorrow, I will go back to the Jiang manor with you.” An Ning replied lightly without turning her head back.
Jiang Jia's cold eyes were clear and cold. An Ning didn't know that the man was staring at her back with a serious expression.
”Why did you get off work earlier today?”
”The company allows employees to get off work as long as they have completed the day's work. I did not violate the rules. ” An Ning's eyelashes trembled slightly.
The firm line of the man's jaw was taut. She clearly knew that he was not asking for any rules, and did not mention the reason at all. Anger welled up in his chest as he asked coldly, ”Have you seen anyone today?”
”...” ”Yes.”
The light in Jiang Jia's cold eyes lit up slightly. Before he could say anything else, An Ning raised her head and looked at the drawing. ”But it has nothing to do with me.”
Like a fire thrown into a dry well, trying to radiate heat, but suddenly dead.
The man's lips curved into a cold smile as he turned around and walked away.
Jiang Jia left in cold weather...
A faint mist rose in An Ning's eyes.
She rarely came here, and knowing that Jiang Jia was coming, she decided to avoid him for the time being.
Holding the brush, he tried to vent the bitterness in his heart. She did not know why, but when she thought of that strange letter, she changed the topic and slowly sketched out a woman's face.
Jiang Jia seemed to want to ask this question, but she was not in the mood to question the woman about her relationship with him. She was afraid that he would give her a cold ”None of your business,” so she cut off the sentence first. At least she didn't have to worry about his sarcastic sarcasm.
Outside, Jiang Jia did not leave.
His body emitted an indifferent aura, but his eyes flashed with visible anger.
A woman who knows that her husband is close to other women but doesn't care about them. Does this indifference mean that she has never considered herself his wife in her heart?
