Raising her hand she called for him and patted the space beside her on the bed. ”Come….”
Ignoring the presence of everyone, Feng Jianyu climbed on the bed and sat down beside her. Holding her hand tightly he kissed it multiple times. ”Love… Is it still stinging? I'm sorry I used that medicine on you”
She laughed between her tears and placed his hands against her cheeks, ”How many times will you say sorry to me? I'm bored now… Go find a cheesy line for me” She tried to lighten the atmosphere with her ever glowing charming smile, but it hurts everyone more.
”Silly… Trying to hide your pain behind your smile, huh?” With one hand caressing over her forehead, he gently wipes the tears with his other hand, careful enough not to go anywhere near her eyes.
”No, it doesn't hurt anymore. I'm fine now! Right doctor?”
Dr. Choy was in a daze looking at the ruthless king of the business world, who was behaving so gently towards the lady. This was the first time he came to know that Feng Jianyu had a soft side too, and probably it will only show up in front of this lady. He smiled thinking about Feng Dingxiong, 'Now he doesn't have to worry about his eldest son's sexuality! He is finally interested in a very pretty girl and most probably our future Mrs. Feng Jianyu…'
”Doctor? Are you there?” Xiu Mei called and Dr. Choy snapped out from his thoughts, ”Yes… Yes, you're fine now. Just protect your eyes from dust and avoid using electronic gadgets for 3-4 days”
”Don't worry uncle Choy, I'll make sure of that” Before Xiu Mei could say anything Jianyu replied.
”But what caused her this severe reaction? I don't want this incident to happen again! Not even by mistake”
Dr. Choy took a deep breath and sat down on the bed beside Xiu Mei, he changed the cotton pad with fresh solution and answered, ”Her eyes are more sensitive than of us here. The medicine you used earlier is mildly strong if compared to the medicine I prescribe to my other transplant patients.”
Feng Junjie gasped, ”Uncle Choy, did you call it mildly strong? Then what will be the higher variant? I saw Sister Mei Mei crying in pain” Shedding his usual playful attitude, Junjie was standing in the corner like a puppy, almost on the verge of crying. He hates it most when any of his family members suffer from something, and unknowingly he had already started considering Xiu Mei as family.

Xiu Mei softly rubbed Jianyu's back of the hand to comfort him.
”Feng Jianyu, if you could show me her old medical files and the name of the doctor who performed the surgery, it will be of great help. After consulting with her doctor I can provide you with better insights of her case and prescribe the new medicine if required”
Xiu Mei's heart skips a beat hearing this. 'No!! If just an eye injury can make him feel this bad, what will he do after knowing about my complete case? He'll be traumatized…. I can't bear to see him like that and blame himself whenever he sees me.'
