Thankfully, it wasn't those ferocious beasts. They were only wolves. Zhuo WeiTing still had a few confidence points.
Picking up the sharpened wooden arrow, Zhuo Wei Ting sneered. While the fire was raging, he took the opportunity to roast some meat.
Zhuo Weitang had already observed the night before. It should be a pack of wolves, about nine in total.
To be honest, even if he took the initiative to make them breakfast, it would not be enough for them to eat. So, it would be better to just eat them.
Although this was a seaside area, the trees on the island were lush. In case of danger, humans were much more agile than wolves. In a large tree, a person's sensitivity was much better. If not, they could climb the tree first.
Zhuo Weitang aimed at the target and rushed forward with the wooden arrow in his hand. He wanted to take the initiative and attack, otherwise, the one being eaten would be him.
He had two wooden arrows in his hand, and the rest were stuck in his waist. When used like this, it would be easier to pick them up.
The first strike was very important. If he couldn't shock them, then he would be the one to die.
Zhuo WeiTing's wooden arrow shot out and he used the first move to attack to the east and west. The wolf that pretended to be attacking ran away, but the target was pierced by Zhuo WeiTing's arrow just in time.
After the successful attack, all the wolves ran away. However, the wolf in Zhuo Weitang's hands didn't die immediately. Instead, it began to fight with Zhuo Weitang and attacked him like a madman.
Without panicking, Zhuo Weitang dodged and at the same time, stabbed the other one into the wolf's body. Then, he leapt forward and sat on the back of the wolf.
As he listened to the howls of the wolves, Zhuo WeiTing was overjoyed at his victory. It seemed that these beasts weren't that scary after all. The rest of the wolves stood aside and looked at him from afar. After a long while, they left under the lead of the head wolf.
Zhuo Weiting knew that wolves were the most scheming and resentful animals in the world, but for now, he decided to do as he was told.
The wolf's skin was thick enough, so it wasn't realistic to use branches to cut the meat. However, there wasn't much to pay attention to now.
Originally, he wanted to take off the wolf skin and make some clothes, but it was a little cold at night here. He had to wear the entire hide because he didn't have any tools.
This wolf had wasted most of his day. After he had eaten his fill, he began to think about how he could survive on this island.
He also knew that the rest of the wolves might be watching him right now, and that he would have to find a better place to stay before nightfall.
The further in they went, the harder the road became to walk on. Vines wrapped around branches, blocking their way. Although they had made a simple tool out of stone, they were unable to open a path.
The sky was getting dark, and Zhuo WeiTing didn't dare to move forward after hearing the howls of the wolves. He first climbed the tree, cut off some vines, and then found two towering trees. He decisively made a hammock between the two trees.
By the time he finished making the hammock, the forest had already started to glow with a faint green light. He did not dare to go down any further. Fortunately, the roasted wolf meat had a leg on it, so he was not afraid of starving.
Lying in the hammock, looking at the wolf pack that lived under the tree, Zhuo Weiting felt somewhat proud of himself.
It was like challenging them.
”You animals, if it wasn't for the fact that I don't have a weapon, I would have sent you to God long ago.”
The wolves were too noisy, making him uneasy, but there was no way he could resist his sleepiness.
He wrapped himself in vines around a tree bed and slowly entered a dream. In the dream, he saw Yan'er. Yan'er was the most beautiful in her wedding dress, but he hadn't even gotten married yet.
The thing that annoyed him the most was that he didn't know who sent him to this damned place.
No matter what, he had to live well, one day, there would be a ship passing by. No matter what, he had to leave this place alive and return to Yan'er.
Tomorrow, tomorrow he would try it out and see if he could find a way to return.
When he woke up, the sky was already bright. The wolves under the trees had already left, but Zhuo Wei Ting felt that their eyes were staring at him.
Fortunately, they were in the dense forest and they couldn't group up to attack. However, Zhuo WeiTing didn't dare to be careless. No matter what, they were still hidden dangers. If he relaxed even a bit, they would probably pounce on him.
During the day, Zhuo WeiTing continued to search for a way out of the forest. He knew that there was no turning back, the pack of wolves were right behind him. As long as he turned back, he would never see Yan'er again.
However, there were more and more vines in front of him, and he was no longer able to move forward.
Moreover, there were vipers among these vines. He almost got bitten several times.
Looking at the wall of vines in front of him, Zhuo Weiting was on the verge of collapse. It was almost dark, and the wolves were howling right behind him. He had no choice but to light a resin torch on his body.
He tried to roast the vines with a torch, but the vines were alive and couldn't be heated by such a small fire.
The furious Zhuo WeiTing roared.
He used his foot to kick the vine. Was he really going to be trapped to death in this broken place?
He hadn't seen their child be born, hadn't had a honeymoon with Yan'er yet, hateful, he didn't expect his meticulous arrangement to go wrong.
”Whooosh.”
Just as Zhuo WeiTing was howling, a loud noise came from behind the vine.
Surprised, Zhuo WeiTing quickly stopped and pulled on the vine.
As the vines shrunk, he saw a dark hole behind him.
He took a few steps back. The cave entrance was eerie and terrifying, a bit creepy.
His first thought was, could this be the cave of some wild beast?
But behind him, the howling of the wolves was getting closer and closer. There was no time for him to hesitate.
Gritting his teeth and harboring the thought of never dying, he stepped into the gloomy cave.
