Chapter 489: The Great Sin (1/2)
Max continued to rush towards the area at his full speed, he didn't hide himself as he didn't want his own teammates to miss him accidentally.
”Hmmn?”
Max frowned as he suddenly came to a stop. There was a group of six ahead who seemed to be quite lively.
”Isn't that an Arcane runt?” One of the guys said as his eyes fell on Max.
These people were from Trinity and the b*stard who Lear got into trouble with was leading the pack.
Melan Roxely…..
”It's you….” Melan recognised Max's face.
Max didn't reply but felt something was off from the smirk on the group's face.
”Where is that guy? I didn't see him around. Don't tell me he got kicked out before even meeting me?” Melan asked with a smile.
”I don't have time to fool around with you…” Max said as he looked at him and prepared to leave.
But one of the guys suddenly walked up to block his path. The guy had a huge build and was a lot taller than Max.
”Why are you in such a hurry my friend? Let's have a word or two…” The guy said as he put his palm on Max's shoulder.
Max frowned.
”Let him go, his friend is in danger….” Another one said with a laugh.
Max's face sank on hearing them. It seems that these guys had already come across whoever was in trouble in that direction…
And from the looks of it, they definitely wouldn't have helped….he just hoped that they didn't create any more trouble….
But, that was very unlikely considering the enmity between them.
«Namen: Garth is out it seems….»
The message made Max frown even harder. It seems he was late indeed.
They had their first elimination and now Max was no longer in a hurry to leave.
He suddenly grabbed the palm on his shoulder and tightened his grip before pulling it down.
”Aaahhh!!!”
A scream escaped the guy's mouth and he was brought down to his knees.
The situation immediately became tense and a few of them had already pulled their weapons out
”Wait!”
Before the guys could rush to Max, Melan raised his hand and they stopped.
Max smiled as he looked at them and further tightened his grasp making the guy scream even louder.
Melan looked at Max. He felt that he had underestimated the fellow. He could tell that Max was baiting them to strike.
This situation was quite a messy one. His teammate was the one to initiate physical contact. On the other side, Max had just lifted his hand using a bit too much strength.
The situation was too vague to decide who should face penalty, In that case, the next move was deciding factor. One wrong move and they could be facing the penalty.
Max knew it too, hence didn't get much aggressive and released the guy's hand.
”What's wrong? Even in a group you don't have the balls to attack?” Max asked as he swept his gaze through them.
The hot headed ones immediately turned red in anger. But Melan remained cool headed and restrained his team calmly.
