C15 Its All Right Now (1/2)

The sun was shining brightly, and the cool breeze from under the shade of the trees was making the air cool.

But even so, Xia Jinsheng did not feel relaxed or satisfied at all. On the contrary, her forehead was drenched in cold sweat.

He raised his hand to wipe her sweat and asked with a puzzled expression, ”Mommy, are you very hot?”

Looking at that ignorant little face, Xia Jinsheng couldn't vent out any more anger in her heart. She hugged the little guy in fear, her voice a little hoarse.

”lovely kid, next time you are not allowed to run away without saying a word. Do you know that you're still a child?”

It was the first time Xia Jinsheng said such serious words to her, causing the little girl to be stunned. She only knew that she had done something wrong and lowered her head, ”Mommy, I'm sorry.”

rubbed her head, and out of the corner of her eyes, she saw Gu Wensheng, who had just finished conversing, walking towards her. Immediately, her heart leaped into her throat.

”How is it?” Xia Jinsheng looked at him in anticipation, hoping to hear the answer she needed from his mouth.

Fortunately, Gu Wensheng did not disappoint her. Following his nod of his head, Xia Jinsheng's legs softened and he almost fell to the ground in a sorry state. Gu Wensheng reacted quickly and helped her up.

”Are you alright?” Gu Wensheng's voice was filled with concern, her pale white face made him frown, no one expected such a thing to happen today.

Gu Nanchen did not know whether it was good or bad to know of the existence of the lovely kid.

Seeing the culprit that caused all of this, Gu Wensheng had initially complained about the little fellow's mischievousness, but when he saw Xia Guang pout her lips in grievance, he no longer felt angry, just like Xia Jinsheng.

Xia Jinsheng shook her head, and raised her eyes to look through the tree to see Gu Nanchen, who was not far away from the window on the second floor.

She couldn't see his expression, but she could feel his angry gaze locking onto her.

Pulling on Gu Wensheng's sleeve, Xia Jinsheng said in a low voice, ”Let's go back first.”

Gu Wensheng also knew that staying near the Old Manor was not a safe thing to do. Very soon, he drove Xia Jinsheng out of the place, back to the place where they settled the little guy.

The little guy went out to do some crazy things, and when he returned home, he was sound asleep. He knew that she had slept soundly in order to avoid Xia Jinsheng's scolding. Xia Jinsheng helplessly placed her back into the children's room for her afternoon nap.

When she came out of the room, Gu Wensheng had just came out of the kitchen and poured her a cup of water. Xia Jinsheng took a look and saw that it was jasmine tea that had just been brewed.

His drowsy mind had cleared up quite a bit.

”second uncle probably won't tell Grandfather, right?” Xia Jinsheng held the water in her hand and took a sip. Just thinking of how the Gu family members might know of the rolling existence of this place, felt her scalp go numb.
