399 Living in Memory 2 (1/2)
Song Qingchun couldn't really explain her anger, but she pulled the front door open and tossed those mismatched shoes into the trashcan. Then, she dragged her three suitcases to the gate.
As Cheng Qingchong said, there was an Audi waiting at the gate. She knew the person behind the wheel; it was Su Zhinian's driver. When he saw her come out, the driver immediately jumped out to help Song Qingchun with her luggage.
Song Qingchun denied his help with a firm no, which startled the driver. He subconsciously raised his head to meet Cheng Qingchong's eyes, who was coming out behind Song Qingchun.
Cheng Qingchong shook her head imperceptibly at the driver, and he pulled back his arms that were reaching for Song Qingchun's bags.
Two minutes later, the taxi Song Qingchun called finally arrived. She knocked on the driver's door, signaling for him to open the trunk. Then, she stubbornly denied the help offered by Su Zhinian's driver and hauled her bags into the trunk all on her own, even though it did take a toll on her.
Song Qingchun opened the door to the backseat and was about to go in when Cheng Qingchong called her name. ”Miss Song…”
Song Qingchun stopped moving but didn't turn to see Cheng Qingchong.
”…Before you leave, CEO Su wants me to tell you something.”
Song Qingchun seemed to have frozen in that half-bent pose.
Cheng Qingchong continued with a professional smile on her face and carried out Su Zhinian's last order perfectly, through the pain and discomfort that it caused her. ”CEO Su said, now that the contract is over, the relationship between the two of you is officially over. He hopes that the relationship can return to the pre-contract state. He hopes that you'll stop bugging him.”
Bugging him?
Song Qingchun stood, dazed, for about five seconds before she crawled into the car and slammed the door close without even a look at Cheng Qingchong.
The taxi driver started the engine immediately and left the bungalow.
