It was late at night. Yun Shang had a good sleep, but she was woken up before long.

Yun Shang squinted, ”What time is it?”

”Three quarter past three.” Seeing that Yun Shang was still sleepy, Qian Zhuo reminded her in a hurry, ”Your majesty, you are going to the court today. You have to get up.”

Yun Shang gradually became sober. She nodded and ordered in a low voice, ”I'm still a little sleepy. Go and get me a basin of cold water to wake me up.”

Qian Zhuo nodded and walked out of the bedroom quickly.

Yun Shang sat on the bed for a while and got up.

Qian Zhuo returned with the water, twisted a handkerchief and handed it to Yun Shang. The weather was getting colder, and the cold water was getting colder. When the cold handkerchief touched her face, Yun Shang shivered and freshened up.

After waiting for Yun Shang to wash her face and brush her teeth, Qian Zhuo walked quickly to a box aside, turned around and asked Yun Shang, ”I've packed up some of your daily clothes, as well as your court clothes and two sets of formal clothes. Since you are going to the court today, you should wear the court clothes, right?”

”Well, I'll wear court clothes.”

Qian Zhuo answered and took out the court clothes. Then she called Pei Lan and Hua'er to help Yun Shang put on the clothes and comb her hair into a bun.

As soon as the breakfast was finished, Wang Wanzhi, together with Liu Wenan, brought two eunuchs outside the door. ”Your majesty, it's time for the morning court.”

Yun Shang nodded, stood up, and let Qian Zhuo straighten her clothes before going to the Taiji Palace.
