Chapter 1054 The Murderer (1/2)

Yun Shang was stunned. Qian Zhuo ran to the bed happily and said with a smile, ”Your Majesty, look, the Prince can walk now.”

Yun Shang looked at Bao'er, lost in thought. Bao'er blinked at Yun Shang and stepped forward. However, he stumbled on one foot and almost fell off the couch. Hua'er and Qian Zhuo hurried to hold Bao'er, but Bao'er seemed not to be scared at all. He stared at Qian Zhuo and laughed.

Yun Shang smiled and picked up Bao'er. She tidied up Bao'er's clothes and said gently, ”When your father comes back, you can show it to him. Ok?”

Yun Shang saw that Bao'er rolled his eyes and smiled at Yun Shang after hearing her words. Yun Shang's eyes lit up. She smiled and handed Bao'er to Hua'er. ”He's been played for a long while. Take him back for food and sleep.”

Hua'er answered in a hurry, lifted the bead curtain and walked out with Bao'er in her arms. Yun Shang looked at the swaying bead curtains and turned around. ”You can leave now. I'll have a rest first.”

All the people in the inner hall left. Yun Shang went to the bed and sat down, with a bit of contemplation in her eyes. She had a vague guess in her heart, but she felt that it was too mysterious to be sure. A miracle might really happen to Bao'er.

Yun Shang sat in the hall for a while, and heard Qian Liu's voice from outside, which sounded a little anxious. ”Your Majesty, I have something important to report.”

Yun Shang raised her head and said loudly, ”come in.”

Qian Liu suddenly lifted the bead curtain and hurried in from the outside. She said, ”Your majesty, the guard who got the letter from Ming Qian has been found.”

”What?” Yun Shang was surprised. Then she remembered what Qian Liu was talking about. ”Where is he?”

With a serious look on her face, Qian Liu said in a low voice, ”Your majesty, he is dead. The dead body was found in the rockery in the Imperial Garden. It seems that he has been dead for two days. ”

Astonishment was written all over Yun Shang's face. She looked at Qian Liu in surprise. After a while, she regained her consciousness and murmured, ”Dead?”
