The next morning, Luo Qingyan got up early and went to the palace. Yun Shang woke up just after Luo Qingyan left. Yun Shang asked Qian Liu to help her with her dress and make-up. Then she asked the butler to give her the account books containing all things she should be in charge of in mansion.
Yun Shang got up early this morning. Although she was still sleepy, she started to look into the account books. But she didn't know much about the expenses, so she asked Qin Yi and two madams to help. It took her the whole morning to finish it.
After lunch, Yun Shang was about to have a rest when the butler ran over again. ”Your Highness, Mr. Wang and Mrs. Wang want to see you.”
Yun Shang blinked, still confused, ”Mr. Wang and Mrs. Wang? Which Mr. Wang? ”
”Wang Congwen, the richest man in the city.” The butler hurriedly answered, ”I heard that his highness hurt Miss Wang in the palace yesterday morning. I guess that they are here for this.
”Haha...” Yun Shang grinned. She quickly came up with an idea. Yesterday Qian Zhuo told her that Miss Wang must have been hurt badly by Luo Qingyan's palm, so she had asked all the famous doctors in the city. That was most likely why they came here today.
”Just tell them her highness is taking a nap. Let them wait. I have always felt that Miss Wang's arrogance is most likely due to her parents' pampering. I don't know how they teach her. She has no excellent talents and good qualities. How could they let her out to harm others?” Qian Zhuo had a fit of anger when she heard the parents of Miss Wang have come. She was still in a state of shock at the thought that Yun Shang was almost pushed to the ground by the woman yesterday.
The butler gave a short pause, and looked at Yun Shang with hesitation.
Yun Shang thought for a while and said, ”Tell them I'm taking a nap. We should teach them a lesson. It's them who are begging us, so we don't need to be in a hurry. After reading the account books the whole morning, I can't open my eyes any more. Let me sleep first.”
The butler bowed to Yun Shang and left the hall.
Yun Shang raised her hand to cover her mouth and yawned slightly. Then she stood up and went into the inner room. She stretched out her hand an let Qian Zhuo and Qian Liu to take off her cape and robe, as well as all the hair accessories. After that, she went to the couch and lay down on it.
”You can wake me up in one hour,” Yun Shang ordered Qian Liu. Qian Liu extinguished the incense beside her and left the inner room with Qian Zhuo.
