23 CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE (1/2)
CHASE'S POV
Philip drove me to work and I gave him the day off.
I was having a board meeting today, so I was working on it. And also wanted to hang out with Justin my old buddy from university, whom I met my first day of resumption and Immediately we became friends.
I was hungry right now since I didn't eat much before coming to work. So, I rushed my work in order to finish, handle the meeting and meet up with Justin and have something to eat.

I drove to the address he sent to me, and it was a restaurant with a very fine view and I love it already.
I walk inside and use my eyes to locate him and just then I saw someone waving at me and it was Justin, gesturing for me to come over.
Smiling I move to him and he stood and walked to me, laughing, we hugged each other tightly and he hit my back playfully and I laugh.
”Wow man, it's been ages” Justin says as we let go of each other and have our seats.
”Yes buddy, I've missed you, you know” I say wiggling my brows.
”Oh come on dude, you don't ever call” he says, throwing his hands in exasperation and then relaxing his back on his seat.
”Sorry man, work and life has been very tough and rough for me” I say, my mind flying to Amaya.
”I know man. I saw it on the news, but come on Chase what happened?” He asks and I guess he was talking about Amaya.
”Its really complicated and I don't even know where to start from” I reply relaxing my back too.
”Would you like to take your order now?” A waitress asks, holding her paper and pen and then she gave me this look, with a smile.
”Uh yes” Justin replied and we went ahead to order.
”I'm starving” I say to Justin as the waitress walks away.
”Oh Chase, you've changed” he says and I asked confused
”Changed? What do you mean?”
”I could see the way that waitress was looking at you and giving you a flirting look. But, you didn't even budge. The old you would have said something to her” he replies and I look at him blankly
”She's not my type” I reply and this time around he burst out laughing.
”You don't have the game anymore man” he says and I ignite my brows.
”I own the game buddy. I've just grown past it” I replied.
”But you can't do it anymore can you?” He asks and just then the waitress walked back with our order.
That was fast.
”Here you go” she says placing our meal, one after the other.
”Thank you beautiful” I reply, winking at her and that caused her to blush and then smiling, she left.
”I told you man, I got it” I said to Justin who had a smile on his face
”Okay man, you got it” Justin says, sipping his drink
”But tell me what happened man, I didn't wanted to believe the news so I thought I should hear from you” he said, digging his food into his mouth.
I exhaled.
Sipping my drink.
”I did something, something really bad man” I say, remembering what happened with Judith.
”I cheated on my wife, but it was not planned or intentional. In fact I still don't know how it happened. All I remember was going to the hotel to meet up with Judith to talk about the case with my father, and the next thing I know. I woke up on bed with her, everything blurry and confused” I say, putting my hand in a fist.
”Amaya found out and she was angry, but what made it worse was that Judith became pregnant and I was just beginning to get Amy to trust me but I screwed up big time. And now I've lost her, only to be stuck with this bitch I used to call a friend.” I finish, embracing my head with my hands and fidgeting my hair.
”Its okay man, I can imagine what you're going through, besides I never liked that Judith and you know it. Anyways, what's the plan right now?” Justin asked and I thought about any but nothing.
”I have no idea” I reply.
”What? I mean, aren't you going to get your woman back? Or you just going to sit here and watch her go?” He says and I raise my head to look at him.
”Come on man” he says falling his head to the right, as he relaxed his back.
