“Get out of my way!” Only a million kilometers now stood between him and the nearest entrance. Using his Starship Flying Ship, Xue Ying tore through space, rapidly approaching his destination, all while employing his Spearmanship as well as his physical defense to buy more time.

Xue Ying rode his Starfield Flying Ship in through the orifices of one of the three demonic heads with goat-like appearances. The hole he entered through took the shape of a fur-covered ear, and its opening measured hundreds of millions of kilometers. Each strand of fur on this ear looked like a towering tree. Xue Ying instantly flew right through the ear hole.

“Chase after him!” The Abyss Sovereign who had been pursuing him all this time sensed a sort of invisible force press down on them as soon as they entered the ear-shaped hole.

Immediately, they became unable to make use of their domains.

In fact, they were no longer able to employ their world energy, nor could they tear through spacetime!

Every single Abyss Sovereign on Xue Ying’s tail immediately reduced their speed; these great ancient ruins were significantly suppressing them. It was even rumored that in specific locations, the operation of the laws would constantly change in a similar manner to places within the ruins of Lake Heart Island. However, Xue Ying had no precise knowledge relating to this matter since, to date, the Destruction Eden was still the only unique location of Lake Heart Island that he ever visited.

In truth, the Blazing Blood Door was also a special location that he knew of, but he did not dare to actually enter it. His actions back then were spurred only by his need to save his wife, but he was well aware that his current power would give him no more than a slim chance to enter and leave that place safely.

Dressed in his set of silvery-white armor, the White Sovereign had an incomparably handsome appearance. He stepped forward into the void.

He traversed the 35th, 36th, 37th and 38th layers of the Dark Abyss with great haste. Though he was able to move faster than any Starship Flying Ship, he was still forced to pass through the layers one by one.

‘The Dao I’ve opened is mainly meant for fighting. It doesn’t give me much of an edge in traversing space.’ The White Sovereign shook his head. In truth, despite it not being his strongest point, his speed was still much faster than that of any ordinary powerful existence.

“Reporting to White Sovereign: Dong Bo Xue Ying’s defense and power are formidable. We were merely able to slow him down slightly.”

“Reporting to White Sovereign: he has already reached the 40th layer world of the Dark Abyss.”

“Reporting to White Sovereign: Dong Bo Xue Ying has charged straight into the Three Chieftain Sacred Mountain.”

“We’re too late.”

“We couldn’t stop him.”

The three heads served as the only entrances to the Three Chieftains Sacred Mountain, and Xue Ying had chosen the one nearest to him, allowing him to quickly enter it.

As soon as Xue Ying came to the Three Chieftains Sacred Mountain through the ear-shaped hole of the goat-like demon head, the White Sovereign had already traversed the 35th layer of the Abyss.

‘This Dong Bo kid is very conscious of his ability. He’s been flying towards the 40th layer from the very start, knowing that his only chance at survival lies in entering the Three Chieftains Sacred Mountain. Fleeing to any other place in the Abyss would offer him no hope.’ The White Sovereign lightly shook his head. ‘Though, the True Gods in that group really are no more than useless trash. He’s just a grade three World Deity, but they still failed to stop him.’

‘He did save Paragon Huo Cheng…’

‘Is this the true power of the Destruction Legion’s soldiers? He is, after all, just a grade three World Deity,’ the White Sovereign pondered. He too had once entered the Destruction Eden to attempt the tests in hopes of joining the Destruction Legion, but he had unfortunately failed. However, by the time he tried taking the test, he was already a Paragon, and the tests for joining the Destruction Legion were known to increase in difficulty as the examinee’s strength level increased. As a Paragon, the difficulty of his test was much higher than what someone weaker would have to pass.

“Do you really think you’ll survive just because you fled inside of the Three Chieftains Sacred Mountain?” the White Sovereign said, a hint of derision in his tone.

Once Xue Ying passed through the ear-shaped cave, he made sure to carefully watch his back. However, his expression changed without warning as the crimson-edged relic inside his storage ring began to tremble. Xue Ying felt an unseen force of attraction pulling on this item, and he could clearly detect its source.

‘Something is resonating with this remnant piece?’ Xue Ying was startled by this turn of events.

He had obtained this relic some time ago, inside of Lake Heart Island, where it was sitting alongside a frozen corpse. Even the expert who previously owned it could merely deduce its exceptional quality, but not its use.

Xue Ying had also mulled over this relic for a while, yet he had been similarly unable to discover any use for it. As a result, he had merely tossed it into his treasure storage without bothering to care for it again.

But who could have known that the crimson-edged relic would resonate with something inside of the Three Chieftains Sacred Mountain!
