15 Whats that stench... (1/2)
Comming to his senses in the familiar hospital envirnonment that filled his nasal cavity with the sharp smell of antiseptic polluted air and hearing the all too familiar sound of the ventilators Harrison just bitterly sighed in his head.
'Back to the land of boredom,' he thought.
'There is no point in do anymore math. I read all the books. Meditation is not working either. Aaaaaaargh.'
'There must be something I can do here...' he tryed to cheer himself up while the medical machines whirred around him.
'Inventory!'
As the boxes showed up in front of him he looked through them. Weapons and armours were the first category.
'Should I materialize a sword on the hospital bed? That would give them a shock of surprise.'
He dismissed the idea as it would raise too many questions.
Finally, his gaze fell on the medicine potions. He still had quite some left after the shitstorm incidents. Looking at them he started contemplating on how he could move the contents from the bottles into his body without using his hands and he came to a possible scenario. There was nothing left for him but to try it out.
'System.'
He waited but there was no answer.
'System can you separate the container from the fluid?'
Still no answer.
'System separate one ”Low quality healing potion” into bottle and fluid'!!!, he yelled in his head in frustration.
Suddnely two additional spaces were filled. In one was now an empty bottle and in the other one was a greenish orb floating suspended in mid-air. He checked them.
Item name: Low quality healing potion bottleQuality: LowSpecial effects: none Description: Can contain fluids.'Well that was nothing unexpected.'
Item name: Low quality healing potion fluidQuality: LowSpecial effects: Reduces pain and swelling. Side effects from the residual components include flatulance and diarhea. Description: Low quality medicine potion with high amount of residue.
'OK. It's still the same stuff.' 'System can you show me my body?'
After waiting for a bit with no result he tried again with an order instead of a question.
'Show me my body!!!'
In front of him suddenly appeared a virtual pale human with everything that was around ten centimeters of his vicinity. He looked at himself and he saw a ventilator tube going down his throat but only saw the parts that were close enough. The pillow and blanket were also on him. He could see his head wrapped up in bandages which covered almost his whole head but were mostly on his left side.
'So you only respond to orders not questions.', was his initial reaction after he recovered from the initial astonishment that it was possible.
'Remove the bed and blankets from the view!'
He could now see the bedsheet beneath him, a diaper underneath him and bandages on his body with bloody drainage tobes going from them and an IV channel running into his left arm. He also had a catheter inserted into his urethra which made him shuddder.
Harrison was reluctant at first but he wanted to know how bad it was.
'Remove the bandages from the view.'
As they were removed he could see a bloody wound on his head with bloody drainage tubes and also that about 5 cm of his skull was missing and was just covered with a bald flap of skin. His hair was cleanly shaven off. His face was swollen so to that degree that he would not be able to recongnise himself even if he remembered how he looked like. His body looked like patchwork of sutures on several parts of his torso which were concentrated on the left side of his body.
He imagined he was strafed by the bullets on the left side going from his stomach up to his head. Harrison counted four bullet wounds on his torso.
'Remove the bedsheet and turn my body around', he ordered.
He could see there were three exit wounds in the back.
The whole out of body experience made him deeply perturbed but also filled with curiosity. He wanted what else the system coud do.
'Remove my skin from the view.'
A flesh covered humanoid appeared with white tendons showing and obvious deformities where the bullets hit him. By now he looked more like an alien than a human even though he was aware that he was looking at himself he felt detached.
'Remove the muscles and tendons from the view!'
He saw his rib cage and skull without the muscles attached now.
'Remove my bones from the view'
Now he could see his heart beating in his chest and his lungs expanding and contracting as the ventilator went trough a cycle. His lungs were damaged on the left side and part of it was cut off and sutured together. He could not tell what happened to his intestines but some parts showed signs of sutures.
'Show me just the skeleton.'
