59 Biconscious Control II (2/2)

After a few minutes, the area cleared, showing Xander with his fingers twirling all over, and the spells that the 6 students launched being distorted to the point that they were collapsing bit by bit.

The students were amazed at such control and speed coming from a 7-year old. After all, if they were bombarded like that, they would already have left the vicinity or be dead.

Xander then looked at the students, saying to them,

”I used my pseudo-class spell, [5-elements Foundation], which generally allows me to use any of the 5 elements under Yin-yang, to destabilize the runic writings by affecting their respective elements. Once the spell absorbs the elements I have placed my control, it becomes a wrestling match between the target and the caster. If the target, in this case, me, wins the match, I get to steal their control of the spell, using the elements absorbed as the entry points. If I lose, I die. This is the best motivator to learn.”

He then snapped his fingers, causing all the spells around him to disintegrate, and then reformed to simple elemental spells, which launched toward the 6 students, causing them to counteract using their own spells. All of their spells were rapidly destroyed and then absorbed by the spells released by Xander, however. The spells destroyed their barriers, before stopping in front of the targets, and then doing a peace sign before collapsing on its own.

”This time, I used the elements that were destroyed to formulate simple elemental spells, each equivalent to a Master rank spell. This is a conscious subconscious spell formation, which requires you to have an imagination of the intended effect, knowledge of the elements, and a sufficient amount of magic and elemental energy in your body. This kind of control, I don't really expect you guys to master easily. Usually, those in the Demigod class or higher can do this, creating spells through their imagination, knowledge, and supply of energy. Of course, there are talented ones who can do it in the Mythic class, so as long as you strive hard, it's not really impossible.”

Upon hearing the first half of what Xander said, the students were amazed and were nodding in agreement. However, upon hearing the latter half, their faces twisted, looking strangely at Xander.

If only Demigod class or higher can only begin doing this, and if you're talented you can start during the Mythic class, what does that make you, a Master class, who can do it?

After all, in Master class, it is expected you form your own unique spells based on the pseudo-spells you have chosen. There was a foundational basis already for your newly-made, Master rank spell. It was different from what Xander just did; he didn't formally make a master rank spell, but rather emulated the power of it in a simple magic spell. He literally made a series of spells in just a snap of his fingers. There wasn't even chanting or the process of casting. It was as if the spells formulated itself from the conscious control of the elements.

Xander knew what was going on inside their minds, but he was unaffected. After all, he knew that he only got to this point after spending so much time in time accelerated fields, and pocket dimensions. If he didn't have this head start at all, he would probably have a slower pace than the others.

Xander then instructed the 6 to fight him one by one. The first one was Maryann.

Maryann didn't waste any time and cast her pseudo-spells, locking Xander in place using [Frost Nova] and freezing the surrounding area as well. She then prepared to cast [Devouring Firestorm], melting and absorbing the ice around Xander, making it stronger. Xander disabled the [Absolute Defense] and was just using a regular magic barrier, reinforced by almost every element he could control.

When the firestorm reached the barrier, some parts froze, but they were immediately removed by the magic barrier, returning it to normal. The fire continued to rage on but it couldn't get past the barrier.

Xander then cast two Ice-type spells, [Snowstorm] and [Ice Pike], freezing the field of fire, shattering them into bits, before reforming into 3 ice pikes 2.5 meters long each. As soon as they formed, they rapidly rotated, increasing their kinetic force and speed. He then launched it towards Maryann, who activated [Ice Cage] to protect herself and let it absorb the kinetic impact. The cage shattered after the first 2 pikes, and the 3rd one was heading straight to Maryann's head. However, 4 inches before it reached her, it stopped, before turning around and heading towards Xander.

Xander immediately countered with a [Fire Ball], creating 3 blasts and dispersing the ice shards from the explosion, evaporating them. Xander raised his hand, indicating the fight was over.

”Good job Maryann, you managed to delay enough time to understand how the [Ice Pike] worked by letting it hit the [Ice Cage] of yours. This is where the importance of delaying in a battle is important. You don't really need a very high comprehension, but just enough to understand the spell. Once you do, even if your opponent, like me, has a higher comprehension than yours, you can still exploit the way the spell was made.”

”Not only that, but you also managed to demonstrate a bit of biconscious control. When you released your fire spell, you were actively controlling it to produce water molecules from the frozen ice around me, thus strengthening itself through its secondary layer control.

You could further improve this by consciously controlling the spell's temperature, so you can make ice and melt it alternately, creating a continuous loop of sustenance for the spell.”

Maryann nodded, obviously happy with the bit of progress she had shown. She just needed more time and practice.

Xander then looked at Alexa, saying, ”You're up.”

Alexa headed straight to Xander, firing 2 [Air Blast] attacks, one of which transformed into a heavy kind of liquid material.

Xander easily evaded them and fired his own [Air Blades] as well as [Water Spears].

Alexa countered the first volley of attacks by using Air Vacuum, which also affected the presence of water molecules and water elements, distorting the spells Xander launched, allowing her to take the lead.

She then used [Summon Water Nymph], creating a small, delicate blue female to appear in front of her, her hair made up of waves, her body made of water.

After instructing it what to do, the Nymph began attacking Xander with a variety of water spells, forcing him to counter the spells with Ice and Fire. When his fire spell hit the Nymph, however, it just fizzled out of existence a few centimeters before it hit.

Xander rolled back, and cast 20 different Ice spells, as well 10 Air spells targeting the Nymph in the span of 3 seconds. Immediately, the Nymph completely froze and was shattered to ice pieces, before being ground to powder by the [Air Compression] spell.

Xander then said, only audible to Alexa, ”This is an example of a thought-based spell, and why they are highly sought after in the magic community.”

Upon hearing those words, Alexa was guarded, unsure how the spell would proceed. She didn't relax at all, yet she found herself with the other 5 students, with all of them as well as the students watching looking at her perplexed, with confusion, shock, and horror plastered in their looks.

Alexa was more confused. She asked Carly what happened, and showed the video of what happened in the last 20 seconds. It showed Xander merely smiling at Alexa, and then said,

”I think you should cast an Air Blast to yourself.”

Immediately, she saw herself raise her hand and point it to herself, and an Air Blast was launched into her body, specifically on her shoulder. Alexa saw her body in the recording being flung high up and landing on the ground.

”What are you doing? I think you should stand up.” Xander's voice continued to echo in the recording.

Immediately, to her horror, she saw in the recording that her body stood up, even with the bleeding shoulder with the visible bone and viscera.

”You should tap dance. After 5 seconds, you will do a headstand.” Xander said, and to her horror, she still saw her body finish those actions as perfect as possible.

She was still bleeding, and then she heard Xander say,

”You will return to where the other 5 students are. Once you sit down, you will remember nothing.”

She also saw in the recording her body being surrounded by a glowing green light, with her injuries visible and internal ones being healed. Once she reached the 5 other students, the light disappeared, and she still carried her alert expression.

”Everyone, you can see that Alexa had summoned a formidable water nymph, and if you weren't able to use fire to lower the temperature and freeze the enemy, you wouldn't be able to defeat it. Of course, other ways can be done, such as using the Radiation element to evaporate the water completely by exciting the water molecules and affecting the water element particles. You could also do an air-based attack, but this can be intercepted by someone who is proficient in Air element. One can absorb the water using Earth/metal element, but in the end, if it self-destructed, it can reform again.”

”For our last demonstration, Faykes, come up front.” Faykes looked different than before as if he was oozing with power and confidence that wasn't there the day before.

”Congratulations on your breakthrough to Master class,” Xander said to Faykes after eying him for a bit.

”Thanks. It was by luck last night.” Faykes responded, obviously delighted. Before he broke through, he prepared the ritual concerning the bloodline curse, removing the 'binding' aspect of the spell, not affecting his magic circles whatsoever.

Those who heard this were surprised. Another one who broke through to Master class? In their class? This was unexpected news.

”Don't hesitate to use your Master class spells and pseudo-spells,” Xander said before he cast 2 spells, [Heavenly Divination] and prepared for [Apocalypse Down]. Since the latter was an array, he needed a few breaths of time to complete its casting. It was different from the space-time spells that he can activate in a whim since the focus of this spell is the Yin-yang element. Similar to how he needed time to cast [Garden of Eden], as well as [Twilight Sonata].

Ms. Amelia, who was supervising the class, heard a whisper in her ears,

”Ms. Wineheart, please evacuate the students up to 20 meters away. It's for their safety. I might not be able to heal or resurrect them if they are closer.”

The same message appeared to the ears of the other 5 students, immediately retreating and gathering the students 20 meters away. Everyone was holding their breath. It was a showdown between 2 Master magicians, up close.
