“I will send Xiao Chen home. You take a cab to work.”
“Okay.” Lu Man turned around. She could not help but look back. “Pei Xiuyuan, is it really alright for you to bully your son that way?”
She was not that stupid to not know that it was his motive to annoy his son!
“Did I bully him?” Pei Xiuyuan pretended to be innocent.
Lu Man was speechless.
Was that not bullying?
“I never knew that you could be that bad.” He did not even flinch when he bullied his son!
Pei Xiuyuan pouted. “I was not bullying him. I was telling him that whatever decision one makes, he needs to pay its price.”
“But he is just a six-year-old boy” Did he really need to go that far in educating his son?
“I was very upset with him wasting the food that my wife worked so hard on making, alright?” That was what irritated him the most!
He got so little food. On the other hand, that wimpy kid was treated way better than he was. How dare he behaved like that? Well, if his son did not want to eat, Pei Xiuyuan was glad to eat them for him!
Lu Man was speechless.
Although she knew she should not, she was touched.
This man knew how to love a woman!
Pei Zichen got into the car. When he thought of getting the chance to have breakfast with his father, the torture that he had endured this morning was worth it!
“What do you want to eat?”
“Can I get whatever that I like?” Pei Zichen was hoping that his father would say yes.
“Yes.”
“What about KFC?” Pei Zichen had never eaten any fast food. Every time he saw his friends or other people enjoying the food there when he passed by the outlets, he was curious about the taste of the food there. He wanted to try it badly.
He tried so many times telling his grandmother and his father that he wanted to try it, but they refused every time he asked for it. They had never allowed him to eat fast food. But it seemed that his father was in a good mood today and there was a KFC outlet nearby, so he carefully made his request.
“Sure.” Pei Xiuyuan agreed without hesitation.
Pei Zichen was so happy that he almost jumped in the car. He thought that there was no more regret in his life!
When they got there, he ordered a lot of food. Pei Xiuyuan waited patiently for him to finish all the food.
“Good?”
“So-so.” When he got to eat the food that he had always wanted, it did not tasted as good as he expected it to be.
“Will you want to eat this again?”
“Nope.”
“Good. Let’s go.”
When they got to the gate, Pei Xiuyuan did not just drop his son and leave. They entered the house together.
When Wang Yunxi saw her brother, she ignored him totally. She did not have such a cruel brother!
She walked toward Pei Zichen and lovingly held his hands.
“Xiao Chen, you are back! Come to my room, I have so many toys for you!”
Pei Xiuyuan knew his aunt had got something to tell him when he saw her eyes gestures, so he followed her and went away.
To Pei Xiuyuan, both of them were children, so he was not bothered by their actions.
“You are back, Young Master.” The butler quickly came to greet him when he knew he was here.
“Where is Grandmother?”
“The old lady is in her room,” he replied politely.
“Grandmother.”
“Yes.” The old lady was watering the flowers on the balcony. She replied softly when she heard hier grandson, without stopping what she was doing.
