“Alright. Go and take a shower. When you are still not used to me and do not want it, I will respect you.” Pei Xiuyuan stopped teasing her. He could see that she was really tired.

“Well.” Lu Man relaxed as he said that. It was better for her not to look for excuses anymore, so she took her clothes and entered the bathroom.

Pei Xiuyuan turned on his laptop to do his work. But when he heard the water sound from the bathroom, he could not concentrate anymore.

Thinking of what he said just now, he found that he was getting more and more masochistic.

He sighed. He took his laptop out to the guest room. After getting a cold shower, he finally managed to calm down and work.

After taking a bath, Lu Man felt much more comfortable and did not want to leave the bathroom. Of course, she did not want to leave the bathroom because of the person waiting for her outside. So it took her more than an hour to come out of the bathroom.

When she saw that the room was empty, she was eventually calmed down.

Lu Man normally went to bed at 11 o’clock but now it was already 12 o’clock. She was very tired. Thinking that Pei Xiuyuan might have been considerate and given up the master bedroom for her to rest well, she got into the bed without much thought.

Maybe it was because she was too tired, lying on the bed was more comfortable than she had expected when she saw the bed, so she fell asleep in a very short time.

When Pei Xiuyuan entered the room, he saw that she was already sleeping like a log. He helplessly smiled.

The first time he saw her was in the photo, he could already remember her face despite the fact that he never remembered a woman’s face. The second time, when he saw her looking so helpless on the street, something stirred in his heart. So when she proposed to him to marry her, he agreed without hesitation. He was even afraid that she might regret it that he got her to register the marriage straight away.

Lifting the blanket, he got into the bed gently, and slowly took her into his arms.

Lu Man was awakened by the warmth. She tried to move her arms before opening her eyes but failed.

Her mind always worked slowly when she just woke up. After all, after so many years of sleeping alone, there was never another living being on her bed. This made her panic even before she was fully awake. She struggled desperately, trying to free herself.

“Don’t move.”

When Lu Man heard a man’s voice, she was even more nervous. How could there be men with her? She struggled even harder.

“My dear wife…”

Hearing the word ‘wife’ made Lu Man completely sober. She did not dare to move anymore.

Pei Xiuyuan sighed silently and let go of her.

“My dear wife, I am going to take a shower, you get yourself occupied.” Pei Xiuyuan knew that if he did not leave, she would be too shy to go out.

By the time Pei Xiuyuan took his bath and came out, Lu Man was already not in the room.

He found that he did not like this feeling at all, so he strode out.
