Seven years later…

“Miss Lu, you look captivating in that wedding gown. It’s as if that wedding gown is made especially for you!” The employee in the bridal gown shop stared at Lu Man with astonishment.

“This is too much. It’s too sexy.” That wedding gown was indeed beautiful. Lu Man loved it. But, she looked at her revealing chest. It was way too sexy!

“Miss Lu, a wedding is only once in a lifetime. Why don’t you want to look sexy? You’re dazzling in that dress. It’s much better than any of the dresses you have tried on just now!”

“Wait for my fiancé to come and take a look at it first.” Her future husband was quite old fashioned. She did not want him to be moody during the wedding.

“Miss Lu, please take a seat here.” The employee led Lu Man to the resting area. Then, she poured Lu Man a glass of water before leaving to complete her work.

Lu Man waited patiently until late at night but still, the man she was waiting for did not come. She took out her phone and checked the time. It was seven o’clock in the evening. They had promised to meet each other at half-past five.

She called Mu Yunhai. But, he did not pick up the phone. So, she messaged him instead. “I’m at the wedding shop. When will you come? Reply to my message.”

She waited another half an hour but still, Mu Yunhai was nowhere in sight. He did not even reply to her message.

This kind of situation had happened before. There might be a sudden meeting in his office and he would not be able to pick up the phone or he might have forgotten to bring his phone with him when he was in a rush.

Lu Man stood up and took a few selfies in front of the mirror. Luckily, she had snapped every wedding gown she tried on just now. He did not have time to come to the bridal gown shop. She could show him her selfies when she went home. There was no difference.

She heard people arguing when she was getting ready to go and was changing into her own clothes in the changing room. It sounded like Mu Yunhai.

She looked up, instinctively.

She saw that Mu Yunhai was approaching the bridal gown shop while entangled in a push-and-pull fight with a woman.

“Wang Yunxi, go back now!” Mu Yunhai grabbed onto that woman’s shoulder. His handsome face darkened. Lu Man had never seen that kind of expression on his face.

“I don’t want to leave!” Wang Yunxi replied, arrogantly.

Lu Man approached them. “What’s wrong, Yunhai?”

Mu Yunhai gazed at Lu Man with mixed feelings. But, it soon faded away and nobody saw that.

“Are you Lu Man?” Wang Yunxi asked her, sarcastically. She even scanned her from top to bottom contemptuously.

Lu Man was unhappy about that. She straightened her body subconsciously. Her facial expression was cold. “Yes.”

“How much do you need for you to leave Yunhai forever?” Wang Yunxi found it unpleasant to look at the wedding gown that Lu Man was wearing. She even felt that she had made the right choice to come over here when she saw the message.

Lu Man was shocked. Soon, her face broke into a smile.

Her smile was just like a flower that bloomed all of a sudden. She was unbelievably beautiful. Mu Yunhai almost lost his mind while looking at her. At the same time, his heart felt like it was being gripped tight.

It seemed like he would soon lose the right to be with her…

“What are you laughing at?” Wang Yunxi scolded, angrily.

“I’m laughing at you! You’re ridiculous!” Lu Man looked at her with a scornful smile.

“How dare you laugh at me!”

“Why can’t I laugh at you?” Lu Man raised her eyebrows slightly.
