Shen Yao didn’t really believe that Xu Cheng’s wife could be that beautiful, and she knew that these days women were quite realistic. Not that she despised Xu Cheng but based on Xu Cheng’s looks and his ranking in the police force, she was able to make an assumption about his wife. That was why she dared to make this bet.
However, having heard Ran Jing bring up that episode, she smiled and asked, “So did you live stream or not?”
Ran Jing’s face was red as she slapped Shen Yao’s shoulders, reminding her that there was an outsider here and saying, “Eat your food.”
Shen Yao felt quite funny so she snorted out a laugh, “That was too dramatic.”
“Sure it was.” Ran Jing felt depressed thinking about it. “Could you believe that he was only a district policeman at that time, and Lin Chuxue was an idol. They just didn’t seem like they were from the same world.”
Shen Yao covered her mouth and laughed. “I just want to know whether you live streamed or not.”
Ran Jing stuffed her mouth with rice and chewed on it as she said, “I would like to stream it for him to see but he probably doesn’t want to see me.”

Xu Cheng once again spat out a mouthful of rice, and this time was followed by a fit of violent coughs.
Both ladies asked in unison, “Are you okay?”
“Yes.” Xu Cheng patted his chest and waved his hand.
These two aren’t reserved at all.
With the way Xu Cheng looked, the two of them didn’t feel like they needed to have vigilance in front of him. If he was a normal man, then they may be more reserved, but with Xu Cheng’s looks, they didn’t feel like they needed to care much about their image.
That was when Shen Yao’s phone on the sofa rang.
Shen Yao got up and went over to get it, and she said happily towards Ran Jing, “It’s Chuxue calling.”
Ran Jing wiped her mouth. “Hurry up and answer it, ask her about the situation.”
Shen Yao took the phone. “Hello, is it Chuxue?”
After a moment of silence, the other side said weakly, “It’s me, Yao Yao.”
Shen Yao immediately breathed a sigh of relief. A relaxed smile appeared on her face as she asked, “Are you okay? Chuxue.”
