After Su Feng Nuan had eaten and drank enough, she became sleepy.

She glanced around, locked her eyes on a large tree, pulled out a ribbon, and threw it upward, having it wrap around the tree branch. She flew up against the force of the tightly wrapped ribbon and onto the tree branch. The tree branch was thick, able to accommodate her slender and still had space left. She found a comfortable position and laid down, closing her eyes.

The man couldn’t make sense of it for a while before asking, “What is the meaning of this, Gu-niang1?”

Su Feng Nuan yawned and said sleepily, “I chased Xiao Hu for more than ten miles, I’m tired, I can’t walk, the sky is also dark already. Let’s sleep here for a night and find a way out tomorrow during the day.”

The man seemed to be looking at her in speechlessness, “You can sleep like that?”

Su Feng Nuan sounded out a yes, and then said in drowsiness, “Of course can sleep, you do as you please.”

The little fox was full and ran to the pit it dug to drink some water, afterwards it ran to the foot of the tree and wrapped itself against it, scratching hard.

Su Feng Nuan heard the movement, opened her eyes and glanced down and asked, “Do you want to come up too?”

Xiao Hu nodded noisily.

Su Feng Nuan let down the ribbon, entangled the little fox, and easily dragged it up to the tree branch.

The little fox nestled happily in her arms, finding a comfortable posture and closed its eyes.

The man looked at the person and the fox. After a moment, he shook his head and broke out in a smile. Finding a clean trunk and leaned against it.

He felt no drowsiness, watching Su Feng Nuan on the tree, with no effort she’s already fell asleep and was sleeping very peaceful. Apparently was used to this way of sleeping. Xiao Hu was in her arms with its eyes closed and lay comfortably in her arms, in the same posture as her, and slept soundly.

One person, one fox and one big tree became the most peaceful scenery of the night.

He watched for a moment and couldn’t help smiling.

At ten o’clock in the morning, the birds were screeching around him coming out in search for food, and Su Feng Nuan, who had been sleeping all night, had finally woke up.

She opened her eyes and saw the man leaning against the trunk. In the morning, the sun shot from the gap between the branches and sprinkled on his face. His appearance was like a beautiful jade sculpture, gentle and flawless.

She sat up and the man hearing the movement, turned to look at her.

She greeted in a spirited mood, “Morning!”

“Morning.” The man smiled.

Su Feng Nuan looked at him and saw a slight blue shadow under his eyes. She raised her eyebrows, “You didn’t sleep all night?” “Slept for a while, but I’m not too used to it.” The man rubbed between his brows.

Su Feng Nuan mumbled, “Really a Gong-zi, so finicky.” Then she said, “You seem like a road blind, so how do you dare to hunt alone in a mountainous forest?”

The man said with a smile, “Not by myself, there was a pageboy following me, but we got separated. I didn’t go into the forest to hunt, I was looking for a type of medicine ingredient herb, and the bow and arrows were to defend myself.”

“What herb? Have you found it? “Su Feng Nuan asked.

The man shook his head, “Zi-mu 2 Grass, have n’t found it.”

“Zi-mu Grass?” Su Feng Nuan raised her eyebrows. “This is a plant that only sprouts in winter due to its roots being soaked in snow, but it is also extremely rare. You come at this time of the year to find Zi-mu Grass, it’s like searching for a needle in a haystack.”
