”W-what?” It was my turn to get flustered. Wow, I never knew Chen Jian was this forward! What happened to the gentleman Chen Jian I knew? Ooo~.

Hold up, this was not the time to be thinking of this!

Chen Jian had held this side of his back from Yun Anong when they had dated back in high school. He was afraid she would run away the moment he boldly made a move on her. Though, it wasn't like Yun Anong had met him as the sweet and kind Chen Jian.

”Smoking is forbidden on the school ground.”

Chen Jian spun around to find a fourteen-year-old girl with pinchable cheeks. She had long black hair pulled into a ponytail and big round eyes. She gazed him up and down with her mouth dropped.

Tch, he blew his last puff without caring that he was caught red-handed. Dropping the cigarette on the ground, he used his feet to kill the fire.

”Ho, who knew the gentleman and all rule following Chen Jian was really like this.”

Everyone knew him as the kind-hearted and gentleman type. But he knew he was not what they had perceived him as. He had created the image himself, but sometimes it was annoying to keep up the facade.

”What will you do about?” Chen Jian sneered, crossing his arms.

If he recalls, she was the student who entered Winterville high school based on a scholarship, Yun Anong. She was the hottest topic of the year when the school had finally let a commoner enter. Something about trying to get along with society, more like trying to gain a good name for the school. It was all his father and older brother ideas.

”Nothing.” Yun Anong shrugged, leaning on the edge of the rail squinting her eyes for a better view at the garden club. ”Aren't those flowers beautiful? It'll look amazing on a dress. Imagine, real flowers sewed onto a dress.”

Chen Jian had a confused look. She sounded like she was putting up some sort of justice earlier, only to merely ignore him right now. Really, was she doing it on purpose to get his attention?

Yun Anong sighed, ”Hmm, though it wouldn't work because the flowers will not last a day after being picked. How annoying! Tsk, I wish Yi can see how gorgeous this place is with me.”

Was she talking to herself or to him indirectly? He wasn't sure if he was supposed to answer her when she seemed to be talking to herself. Chen Jian became amused with the unique way she had used to get him to notice her.

Yun Anong raised an eyebrow when she found Chen Jian still standing behind her. ”Huh? Why are you still here?”

”Me?” Chen Jian pointed a finger to himself.

”Duh.” Yun Anong's eyes scanned the rooftop as if she was looking for someone. ”I don't see anyone else here.”

”Then why were you trying to sound like a goody two shoes a moment ago?”
