The sound of a knife cutting through wind and space to anchor itself at a tree reverberated in the calm alley.

In a split of a second, Ying Yue had taken out her hidden knife in her shoe to skillfully throw at the tree diagonally behind her.

The knife turned on itself a couple of times before beautifully landing on the tree's strong body.

The tree she was aiming was almost directly behind Jun Feng so the knife came very close to his ear when it was launched but the man didn't even flinch for a millisecond and just calmly stood there.

He never doubted her skills nor her aim as he personally experienced her incredible feat at their first meeting.

The knife, small but dangerous, hit exactly where Ying Yue aimed.

The sudden attack scared the person behind the robust tree, a small sound of terror leaking out of his lips.

” Come out! ” Ying Yue domineeringly commanded.

The man dressed in black instantly turned his back and tried to run away.

Ying Yue rolled her eyes, slightly lifted her foot and pulled out another hidden knife.

Without hesitation, she ruthlessly aimed at the man's calf, cutting through his flesh and transpiercing his veins, blood quickly oozing out.

Neverthless, Ying Yue was not as heartless as to throw hard enough so that the knife would come out of the other side and simply threw hard enough for it to enter at least 3 cm.

The control in her throw was unimaginable.

The smarting pain spreading through his entire leg causing the man to stumble, unable to walk nor run any longer.

The decisiveness and ruthlessness of Ying Yue's action made Jun Feng silently raise an eyebrow.

Even though he knew that the shameless and childish persona of Ying Yue was a facade to who she was truly, it still made him feel weird that such a young girl could be capable of such bloodthirsty moves. Not even confirming the reason behind his pursuit, she immediately hunted him down.

Yet, Jun Feng couldn't help but be attracted to this type of personality.

Ying Yue slowly walked to her wailing prey and naturally questioned him, ” So who sent you? ”

Ruthless? Yes, she was. Still, Ying Yue like to think she still has a more human side to her sometimes but she had a good reason to instantly strike him: the skills he had were definitely above averages and he was probably part of a mercenary group, so there was definitely a motive behind his actions.

” ... I don't know! ” the man slightly hesitated before truthfully answering, holding onto his bleeding calf.

He was not dumb, seeing the girl mercilessly attack him, he knew it was better to tell her the truth than to get tortured more. Furthermore, it was definitely apparent that this girl was also from the underground world and a very talented fighter on top.

Ying Yue didn't react and continued to look at him.

” I'm saying the truth! I am just a lowly mercenary from a small guild! We received money from a stranger to investigate and ambush a girl called Ying Yue that was living around here. I was not following you! ” the man difficultly pushed out his words.

Oh...so it's not this face that he has been given to investigate...that means...
