Chapter 22 (2/2)

“Say.” Xiao Chen stood beside a carriage, lifted his eyes slightly to look at Jing Yue who enthusiastically played with two grey wolves above the meadow, a peculiar rays flickered in his eyes.

“Definitely isn’t second prince’s person.” Xing Er looked following Xiao Chen’s gaze, hung his head down slightly and said: “According to Xing Wei’s investigation, Huang Fei started to appear in the forest’s border town when she was seven years old, selling animal’s fur to get money to live.”

Xiao Chen’s eyes flashed faintly and asked: “Where did she come from?”

“As Huang Fei has said, the forest was her home; without father and mother, she had lived with wolves as her companies. All about her birth father and mother were unknown.” As Xing Er spoke, his eyes faintly bore a surprised look; no matter how he thought, he couldn’t understand why Jing Yue’s history could be this way.

He originally believed Jing Yue was randomly fabricating story without thinking, yet unexpectedly it was actually real. When he investigated her, he asked an old man who used to go into the mountain hunting. That man said that inside the forest in the mountain lived a female mountain G.o.d, packs of wolves and wild beast were her left and right arms.

The one that old man was speaking of was probably Jing Yue when she was a child.

“Xiao Chen, are we going to set off?” Jing Yue, probably tired of playing, sat on the ground slightly gasping for breath. The scene when her eyebrow bended and she smiled seemed like a moving picture, as beautiful as a sparkling pearl twinkling under the suns.h.i.+ne.

“You go first.” Xiao Chen waved his hand toward Xing Er and walked toward Jing Yue.

Jing Yue stood up. Blinking her eyes looking at Xiao Chen who was approaching her, she asked doubtfully: “Ei? What happened?”

Xiao Chen stared at Jing Yue silently for quite a while, indifferently opened his mouth and asked: “You’re called Jing Yue? Who gave you your name?”

Blank for a moment, Jing Yue smiled and said: “I did it myself a!”

Xiao Chen silently stared at Jing Yue for a long time until he finally turned around and left. Two cold indifferent words came through: “Set off.”
