Chapter 6 (1/2)

CHAPTER 6

Cannot Enter the City, Fei Election

Jing Yue leaped and didn’t stop for a rest for quite a while. Only when she was certain that no one was chasing behind her, she finally stopped on top of a tree. She gasped for breath and patted the pit of her stomach; really scared people to die, who were those people? How could he have such a scary expressions? Even Jing Yue with this kind of definite ability, still had some fear thinking about it now.

Cold and ruthless. They didn’t even have a bit degree of warmth. They looked at you just like they were looking at a dead person.

An ordinary person, how could he have that kind of eyes?

Jing Yue’s body shivered hard when she thought about it. Wiping the cold sweat on her forehead, she couldn’t help but sighed sorrowfully in her heart. How could she be this pitiful? Being abandoned inside a forest, and then had to keep hiding in different places as if she was fleeing for her life. This outside world was really too chaotic…

It’s better to buy those things quickly and then hide inside the forest.

Safe, free.

Thinking that way, Jing Yue immediately relaxed her breath and weakly took a rest. She leaped down toward a tree trunk and watched the surrounding, searching for a dry place below the trees to sit and slowly closed her eyes. She had run for a full day and didn’t even have the chance rest for a moment.

When Jing Yue opened her eyes again, it was already morning of the next day. Jing Yue lazily stretched her body; fortunately, she was able to have enough sleep for the rest of the night; otherwise, today she wouldn’t be able to hurry towards the small town. Jing Yue finally had her wish fulfilled close to midday time; she had arrived at the city gate.

“Not easy aa…..” Jing Yue wiped the sweats on her face. Patting the dust on her clothes off, she walked toward the city gate and stopped to look. She slightly raised her eyes and threw a glance toward an announcement as well as a sheet of a man’s portrait sticking on the city’s gate. The corners of Jing Yue’s mouth were drawn tight.

It was certainly not her eyes that had problems; it had certainly been the person who drew this portrait who had problems.

What kind of ghost was that picture?

It didn’t resemble a human no matter how you looked at it.

“Move aside, move aside, Ninth Huang Shu* is going inside! Everyone cannot enter the city gate!” Dust was raised by a group of dashing horse, choking Jing Yue who stood on the side until she coughed.

“Ke ke ke (cough)…… your uncle, to have a horse is amazing aaa……” Jing Yue coughed and grumbled. She turned around and walked toward the city gate where she was stopped by the guards keeping the gate who fiercely said: “Didn’t you hear the notice!? You cannot enter the city at the moment!”
