An explanation was already his limit, he’s not willing to go any further than this. As to this pipsqueak believing himself or not, that’s her own business. He’s too lazy to make excuses when he’s done nothing to warrant such accusations.

“I believe you.” Clearing some of her tears, Di Ling Yan finally pulls herself up from the ground. Speaking in a cuddly voice: “Since Sister Suzaku isn’t here then I’ll leave first, goodbye Mr. Stranger.”

The news of her friends being alive naturally relieved the pipsqueak, but her figure didn’t get to make it very far before the loud booming voice of the man stopped her retreating footsteps.

“Wait!”

Turning back to face the person: “I should go Mr. Stranger, Big Brother will be looking everywhere for me by now.”

That childish excuse definitely amused the man as he chuckled: “Pipsqueak, this place cannot be found by anyone, you are the only exception thus far.”

“What?” Di Ling Yan didn’t understand so she quickly pressed for an explanation, “Isn’t this the Demon Mountain? Sister Suzaku’s been living here for a long time, how come she never found you?”

“I don’t know what this Demon Mountain you are referring to but the fact that you are able to reach this place is fate. As long as you don’t disturb me then I will spare your life. Now pipsqueak, come over!”

Di Ling Yan hesitated and took a few steps back instead: “Big Brother does not allow me to approach strangers, it’s better if you just tell me like this, I won’t go over.”

The man is likely not a good person, I better keep my distance from him.
