“Finished?” he asks with no discernable sourness.

Shrugging at her husband’s question: “I’ve said what I need to say, whether he can let go is up to him. Anyways, why did you not stop me from being alone with him this time?”

Pulling his wife into an embrace, he gently strokes through that silky black hair with grace: “You’re my woman now, no one can steal you away from me!”

The main reason for his hostile behavior towards Chu Yi Feng was because Bai Yan still hasn’t accepted him, but now…. Hoho, she’s already his woman, what more does he need to fret? He’s never allowed anyone to escape his grasp before and he most certainly won’t allow that to happen with his own wife!

“Mother,” it’s then Bai Xiachen decides to interrupt the couple’s lovey dovey moment, “How’s Godfather?”

Realizing they’re not alone again, Bai Yan hurries to gather herself and looked downward at her boy: “Don’t worry, he will be fine.”
