21 Clues and Hamburger (1/2)

Yan Xiu didn't follow Chen Hanchen back to the village, he went straight home. Although he already contacted Bai Yuan, he couldn't just waltz into the village while bringing a demon beast.

Chen Hanchen would first report it to the head hunter, then after the head hunter checked and gave the permission, only then can Bai Yuan entered the village.

The two of them walked home while avoiding people, with Bai Yuan's speed they reached home fast. Yan Xiu looked at the snake meat tied onto Bai Yuan's back, as they were too much, Chen Hanchen carried half and Bai Yuan carried another half, but even half was still quite an amount.

Bai Yuan carried so much meat from the forest to here and yet, he didn't break that much sweat. It's endurance was really good, ”I can ask him to help out later.” thought Yan Xiu.

Right when the two of them neared the house, Bai Yuan suddenly stopped and trembled as his hair stood straight. He looked in front of him, at the house to be exact, and growled, although he put up a brave front, the fear in his voice was quite obvious.

”What's wrong?” (YX)

Yan Xiu asked worriedly, in which Bai Yuan answered in between clattering teeth.

”Uho..... Ho... (In front, dangerous. Can't get, closer).” (BY)

Yan Xiu became confused, 'What scaring him?' asked Yan xiu. Then he remembered about his house barrier, 'If I didn't remember wrong, father did say it would prevent any foreign threat to enter or even get close to the house. Maybe it's the barrier' thought Yan Xiu.

Yan Xiu was about to explain to Bai Yuan about the barrier, but he saw that Bai Yuan face change to complete fear as he dropped to the ground while trembling. Yan Xiu was shocked and when he looked ahead, he saw a blue pair of eyes hovering in the air.

It's gaze was strict and heavy with authority and power, all of it weigh down on Bai Yuan. Meanwhile, it didn't have any effect on Yan Xiu. 'Is that... Papa?' wondered Yan Xiu, his papa was always smiling and easy-going, his eyes was gentle and kind. And yet, the severe azure eyes in front of him was reminding Yan Xiu of his papa.

Yan Xiu gapped at the eyes and shocked still. The eyes, on other hand, was investigating Bai Yuan. When it saw the thin mental bond between Yan Xiu and Bai Yuan, the eyes became less severe. It slowly dissipate into thin air after one last look of Yan Xiu, in the last moment the eyes looked kind.

”Is it really..... Papa?” (YX)

It was too similar, 'Is papa and mama back?' thought Yan Xiu in daze. Meanwhile, Bai Yuan felt the presence of the scary thing and the pressure that was on him gone. He cautiously lifted his head and looked around, making sure the scary thing was truly gone.

He was relieved, back when the scary thing was gazing on him, Bai Yuan felt he was pressured by a mountain and couldn't even breathe. When Bai Yuan saw Yan Xiu in daze, he thought Yan Xiu was still scared. Bai Yuan nudge Yan Xiu and awoken him from his daze.
