Chapter 382 - Deadly Pt1 (2/2)
Fergus looked up at Helga, and she gave him a small smile but it looked painful.
”Madam Helga, –” Fergus tried to begin but Helga shook her head.
”Always remember, Fergus, if you don't want to be saved, nobody can save you.”
. . .
”I am sorry, Gus. I shouldn't have left you like that,” Malgino eventually started talking to Fergus again.
”It's alright. You were in shock.” And as usual, Fergus forgave him.
Malgino and Fergus began to hang out together, again. They found mysteries, learned stuff and Fergus really believed Malgino repented about what happened with the experiment and stopped any dangerous experiments. Fergus was so glad about this change that he didn't even worry at the fact that Malgino started to spend too much time with Helena or about the rumor that something more than friendship was going on between him and her. Fergus never bothered Malgino and Helena, he wasn't going to. He had forgiven Helena a long ago.
While Malgino spent time with Helena, Fergus was happy with Emory. They were still friends and Fergus still couldn't tell her how madly in love he was with her. Though he told her about her parents and his other adventures at Hogwarts. Now only she and Malgino knew about Fergus being a hidden vampire prince and Fergus was very happy that they didn't treat him any different.
Despite the punishment, things were going back to normal in Fergus's life. At least they did for a year.
It was Fergus's fifth year that went bad to deadly.
”You found the secret room, you were looking for, Mal? You know that one we found was probably created by Headmaster Salazar, ” Fergus asked as he and Emory caught up with Malgino in the Great Hall.
Malgino looked startled by Fergus and was very surprised to see Emory. Emory normally didn't hang out with him, and not to mention the fact that Fergus just yelled about the secret place in front of her.
Seeing Malgino's surprised face Fergus rolled his eyes.
”Emory knows all about our mystery finds, Mal. It's fine.”
”All?” Malgino raised his eyebrows.
”Yes,” Fergus said happily.
”And my lips are sealed,” Emory said putting her index finger on her smiling lips.
”See, she is a great secret keeper,” Fergus said lightly blushing. Then he noticed something on the Great Hall tables. ”Oh, look we have our favorite pudding at dinner tonight.”
As Fergus focused on the dinner, Malgino looked at Emory oddly and kept staring until slowly Emory's sweet smile faded away. Malgino looked away from her and gulped down some juice on the table. Fergus didn't notice but Malgino looked less than pleasant about Emory.
