Chapter 251 - The Sisters (1/2)
Chris didn't realize first whose voice had just called her but clearly, it wasn't the first time they had called her. Chris' mind momentarily felt foggy. But she forced her brain to work according to her.
”Get away from me,” snapped Chris as the fog on her mind slowly cleared.
As Chris came back to herself, she realized all the Death Eaters they had fought, was gathered around them. Almost twenty-five or six, masked-unmasked faces were looking at them. Chris looked at her friends and saw they all had silencing charm on them and understood what was going on.
”Don't you dare manipulate me,” said Chris to Malgino, who was still smiling.
”I was not, it was your inner fears,” said Malgino. ”You and I both know that the things I said is true and that's why you believed them.”
Chris was fell silent, thinking if it was true when a voice said in her mind.
”No Chris,” said Luna. ”You didn't drag us here. We came to help just like you always jump in to save us.”
”We are friends Chris,” said Colin. ”I will do the same thing for Ginny and Luna.”
”You don't put us in danger,” said Ginny. ”We chose to be here. You killed a Basilisk for me, can't I fight a bunch of idiots for you? For your information, I am stronger than you think.”
Chris slowly smiled and faced Malgino.
”No!” she said, looking at his dark yellow panther-like eyes. ”Those are not true. I didn't drag them here. They wanted to help.”
”And how are you repaying them?” Malgino laughed.
”We don't have time for this pleasant chat,” said Bellatrix suddenly. ”The Dark Lord wants —”
”I know what the Dark Lord wants, Bellatrix,” said Malgino. His smile became less amusing as he turned to look at Bellatrix. ”You don't need to remind me that. Also, I don't like to be interrupted when I am working on something important.”
Bellatrix stiffened, his expression changed into something very dark as she stared at Malgino. A man beside her, whom Chris recognized the long, pale, twisted face from the Daily Prophet: Rodolphus Lestrange gripped Bellatrix's arm tightly and tugged her back. At first, Bellatrix refused to back down which made all the people in the room nervous, Stormy even stepped forward Bellatrix but at the end, she retreated. Chris noticed that the place she had hit Bellatrix with the icicle was still fresh. She couldn't get time to fix that either.
”Yes, so, where were we?” Malgino turned back to Chris like last-minute incident didn't happen at all.
”You were planning to not to harm my friends,” said Chris without missing a beat. ”Because you are not a monster.”
”O yes, yes,” Malgino chuckled. ”But if you don't give me the thing, which I suppose is ours I will regret my next orders.”
”The Prophecy isn't yours, it's Harry's,” grumbled Chris. ”You have no right over it and even if you had he wasn't going to give you that.”
”I will disagree with you,” said Malgino. ”I think he will give it to me if he saw a dear person suffering.”
”What do you — Urghhh. . .” Chris' entire body seized up as Stormy came in front of her then slowly the pain in her body increased. It was like someone was stabbing her every part but slowly, very slowly. They wanted her to feel the pain. Chris screamed.
”What are you doing to her?” yelled Jason looking absolutely horror-struck.
”Stop! Stop it,” shouted Harry as he realized their silencing charm had lifted off. ”Stop it! Please I will give it to you! Release her!”
”Leave her alone!” shrieked Ginny.
”Don't!” growled Colin.
”How touching!” grinned Ethan. ”We should have done it, sooner.”
Malgino signed Stormy who released Chris, she fell on the ground panting, twitching.
Jason looked sideways at Harry as Stormy released him from her watery robes. Harry took out the Prophecy from his robes.
”Harry don't —” Chris said weakly.
”We don't have a choice, Chris,” replied Harry holding the Prophecy forward.
