Chapter 18 (2/2)

It was the best opportunity to fight back, but everyone was shocked by the bloody scene in front of them. Their classmates’ throat was torn and their chest was ripped apart, their screams before they stopped breathing challenged their nerves and tolerance.

But zombies wouldn’t give up trying to attack their prey just because they had food. After killing these two students, they immediately aimed for the closest survivors.

One of the zombies targeted the middle school student who was standing not far from Ye Lian.

The zombies were violently attacking outside the rotating gate and no one could help even if they heard the screams behind them. The zombies would break through the front gate if they relaxed even for a second, more people would die if they were surrounded from both the front and back.

The girl was stupefied. She couldn’t even move her fingers and her mind was blank.

Her throat was going to be slit in an instant, but Ye Lian, who stayed down all this time suddenly flashed next to her, took the fruit knife in her hand and struck like lightning in the instant she dashed to the zombie. A cold beam flashed and the fruit knife cut the zombie’s neck horizontally. As Ye Lian turned her wrist and twisted the knife, blood burst out and splattered all over the girl’s face.

Red and warm blood finally pulled the girl’s mind back as she screeched like mad. Her legs trembled and warm liquid streamed down from her thighs.

However, Ye Lian didn’t even look at her and didn’t even check the zombie’s condition before dashing to the back of the other female zombie.

That zombie had just pinned a boy down on the ground and when it just opened its smelly mouth, the knife’s tip stabbed through her head coming out from the mouth.

From the zombies’ appearance to Ye Lian killing them both, it happened in merely a minute.

In a short minute, two students died. The boy’s pupils dilated from terror, unable to climb back on his feet and he couldn’t even push the dead female zombie off of his body.

Everyone immediately crowded around Ye Lian after seeing her quick and violent attacks. They were scared to death and they weren’t in the mood to think why an ordinary-looking beauty had such skills. All in all, she was their protection umbrella now…

In fact, Ling Mo was the one who controlled Ye Lian to kill the zombies as he fought zombies by the rotating gate. In order to hide her identity, he even made her use a weapon.

While the other survivors all trembled in fear, Ling Mo discovered that two people were missing from them through Ye Lian’s eyes.

They probably ran upstairs out of fear… But it was stupid of them to run away recklessly. They would only die sooner without their protection. Even the lobby was filled with zombies, would there be any less zombies upstairs?

As expected, a few miserable screeches sounded from upstairs making these people tremble uncontrollably.

After a few minutes of violent slaughtering, the zombies outside the rotating door were finally killed. Whether it was Xia Na or Liu Yuhao, their face was filled with sweat. Especially Xia Na who fought with her life, her arm holding the sword was shaking lightly.

Although it was slightly easier for Ling Mo, his face paled as well. His temples also ached due to the after-effects of consuming too much consciousness power.

Xia Na’s expressions were complicated as she turned around to look at the bloody scene, it was as if she was in pain and blamed herself…

Ling Mo noticed it and patted her shoulder while comforting her in a low voice, “It’s not your fault. It might had turned even worse had you left them there.”

“Hm…” Xia Na agreed in a low voice and forced a smile towards Ye Lian, “Thank you!”

Although she didn’t see Ye Lian’s moves, Ye Lian’s skills obviously exceeded her expectations as she killed two zombies almost at the same time.
