“How about this, you don’t have to care about their lives. You just have to help us when we are in danger, is that fine?” Xia Na pondered for a while and suddenly said.

Everyone’s expressions became odd after hearing her words. They probably knew that they were burdens, but they must’ve felt embarrassed after being pointed out clearly.

In fact, they were dissatisfied with Ling Mo exactly because they were burdens. Whether Ling Mo was a burden like them, or whether Ling Mo was somewhat capable, he was an “intruder” from the outside to those who formed their group.

As for Xia Na and Liu Yuhao, they were their hosts. They wanted to get the most out of them and they wanted them for themselves.

But as burdens, they should be aware of it as to tolerate their host no matter how dissatisfied they were.

Since Xia Na spoke, Ling Mo nodded carelessly, “Sure.”

“Great. Xia Na, don’t worry. As long as you give us weapons, we’ll try to defend ourselves.” The boy with glasses smiled happily.

But looking at others’ complex expressions, it was hard for them to take his words seriously.

They discussed about the details for a while before Liu Yuhao took out the food from his backpack and everyone had a simple meal together.

But the food they found was hardly enough to fill their stomachs. On the contrary, the food in Ling Mo’s backpack was much better than theirs in terms of taste and energy. However, it wasn’t a surprise as there were more zombies in the city and more survivors, all supermarkets would’ve being searched for a few times already…

However, Ling Mo had no intention of sharing his food.

“Heh, sister, aren’t you going to eat?” Xia Na passed half a packet of instant noodles to Ye Lian but she had no reaction.

“Sister, are you in a bad mood?”

Although Xia Na didn’t see it, but Liu Yuhao felt a sense of coldness from Ye Lian’s eyes as he probed.

“No, she just doesn’t interact with strangers very often,” It was troublesome to Ling Mo and he quickly cut them off.

“Ye Lian sis should sleep with us tonight,” Xia Na suddenly suggested, “You can stay with Liu Yuhao. Boys stay here, us girls stay opposite here.”

As she spoke, she pointed to a household opposite them.

Although Ling Mo wanted to decline, he nodded without noticing when he glanced Xia Na and the other girls, “Alright.” The place wasn’t far and Ye Lian wouldn’t break away from his control. After his consciousness strengthened, the control distance had obviously expanded.

“Heh…” Xia Na was surprised at Ling Mo’s fast decision but it made her change her impression of him.

In the apocalypse, all kinds of entertainment were gone. Although the sun just set after dinner, they all returned to their rooms in silence.

Xia Na went to the opposite house with Ye Lian and the other girls, meanwhile, Ling Mo maintained the connection with Ye Lian, settling down in a single bed under Liu Yuhao’s arrangement.

He received special treatment as he had to help Xia Na and the others to the Third Middle School tomorrow. With his skills, it would be a great help even if he decided to help them selectively.

No one ever imagined that when Ling Mo laid on the single bed and closed his eyes as if to rest, he had switched to Ye Lian’s perspective.

“How can I feel relieved when Ye Lian’s alone with you lot, I must watch over her…”

Ling Mo mumbled in his heart.
