Chapter 26 - Chasing Wind (2/2)
“Wait a minute, I’ve got something to tell you. Two months later, we will open the Spirit Gathering Array, and all of you are required to attend. If you make a fool of yourselves there, I will definitely send you to the beast forest,” Gong Xuan uttered in a thundering voice before leaving to handle his chores.
“I have never see Martial Uncle so angry, He was always gentle!” Ye Shang said as he wondered about his mood swings.
“Gentle? Thirteenth, take a look at this?” Tang Tian turned and pulled his pants down, showing him a black scar on his buttocks.
Before Ye Shang asked, Tang Tian said that he was tired of continuous cultivation two days ago and rested in a chair for a while, but was caught by Gong Xuan, so he beat him and left a scar.
Chu Ning also showed scars of his own body as he pulled up his trousers, showing red scars on his calves. Needless to say, Ye Shang knew that if he too slacked down on his insane training regime he might also run down on the path of being beaten.
“Do you know what the Spirit Gathering Array is all about?” asked Ye Shang in an inquisitive tone.
“In every peak of Medicine Valley, we have a Spirit Gathering Array established. Cultivating in the Spirit Gathering Array will speed up the cultivation pace several times than compared to the outside, but it only opens once every year. After all, it requires spirit stones to maintain the Spirit Gathering Array.” Chu Ning said while smirking at his wisdom.
“Since we just cultivate inside, so how can we make a fool of ourselves?” asked Ye Shang as he couldn’t understand the complexity of the situation.
“Dumbo, we’re not the only ones to participate in it, Nangong and others will also attend. If our cultivation speed becomes slower than others, Martial Uncle will lose his face. It is really unfortunate for us to fall into the hands of Martial Uncle…… Not to mention the sect contest?” Tang Tian said with a wryly smile.
Ye Shang knew about the sect contest. It was a competition divided into 3 levels, which included competitions between different category of disciples including the newcomers, inner disciples, and the core disciples.
Not only would newcomers attend the newcomer’s games but all the other disciples as well, since getting a place would allow them to get the sect’s reward and if they are lucky enough their cultivation resources might also be increased.
However, Ye Shang didn’t have much hope for the sect contest since he remembered that people who participated in the assessment were at Qi-Refining Stage Level 9 or atleast Level 8, not to mention there were also the outer disciples from the other peaks.
Staying at Ye Shang’s place for a while, Tang Tian and Chu Ning left as they were afraid of being caught by Gong Xuan again, only Ye Shang wouldn’t consider Gong Xuan fierce.
After drinking, Ye Shang continued to practice the Chasing Wind Spear Technique since it was the only fighting technique he knew right now.
Ye Shang smashed a piece of a boulder on the side of the yard with one attack, which satisfied him, since he believed that with the improvement of his cultivation base was affecting the power of the Chasing Wind Spear Technique.
While Ye Shang was wiping the spear, Tian Yu came back carrying a brown bear with its claws, a copious amount of blood was flowing through his head shredded to pieces by Tian Yu.
Leaving the brown bear outside the yard, Tian Yu dived to the side of Ye Shang, waiting for Ye Shang to pamper him.
As Ye Shang was combing the feathers for Tian Yu, the two servants came over.
They now didn’t have to bring food every day since Tian Yu would go out and hunt, the servants only had to roast it because Tian Yu rarely ate raw meat.
Cooking the brown bear with them and feeding Tian Yu, Ye Shang entered the bamboo house.
After entering the bamboo house, he had a whim to sort out the medicinal herbs in the storage ring.
Originally, he wanted to see if there was any Soul Elixir since cultivating both the Sheng Ding scripture and the Myriad Dao Treasured Tome had consumed tons of pills already.
