Nero waddled out of the storage unit and into the Juniors' corridor, his demeanour and facial features returned to a state of unwavering calm.

'We put up a good show there, not a single suspicion arose on that guy's face! I'll put the restrictions up again so you don't accidentally use your mana, we're still in the Queen's vicinity.' Nova sighed in relief.

'The plan went smoothly but... I don't understand why the Captain looked so happy, maybe we have high value or something?' Nero found his cabin and settled in, the 2m x 4m x 2m (AN; width x base x height) was more than enough space.

When he woke up, the time was 6 in the evening. Soft thuds vibrated Nero's cabinet gently, he guessed it was the other chosen candidates going about their life, socialising with each other in the lounge or going to the canteen for their evening meal all excited for their future, imaging all the wondrous things they'll see and do, be the hero, the MC, of their own life, or maybe live like kings or even become a Ruler or fulfil some other ambition-driven desire.

Soon, he reached the lounge. Children of all ages filled the room, conversing or screaming, or both.

Many children that noticed Nero came over to him.

”Hey, are you the new chosen?”

”I've not seen you here before, you must be the new guy we were told about!”

The small commotion attracted even more people. Nero introduced himself with little words and gave a bow as courtsey, mostly to not come off as a cold guy, but also to look a little introverted.

Sadly, he forgot that these were kids he was dealing with, at least most of them, and so almost nobody took the hint that he wanted to have some space to himself.

Just as the commotion was about to get louder, somebody yelled at the top of his lungs.
