Chapter 47 (1/2)
At the same time.
A certain cultivation chamber on the outer zone opened up.
It was Zhao Tianyu, who appeared to be in a sorry plight. All the skin on his body was burning up, and he ran out from the cultivation chamber in agony.
The fire qi in the outer regions was equally painful to him.
His limit was at ten days.
He didn’t leave but waited by the Fire Lake for twenty days. Only then did he see Senior Martial Sister Zhou walking out slowly while frowning.
Her limit in the outer zone was one month.
“Congratulations, Senior Martial Sister Zhou. You’ve persisted for an entire month and can be ranked amongst the top 20 of the senior students,” Zhao Tianyu said, buttering up to her.
A hint of joy flashed on Senior Martial Sister Zhou’s face, but she quickly concealed it and pretended to be indifferent. “It’s just one month. It’s nothing much.”
After a slight pause, she turned to look at the Fire Lake behind her, thinking of that Xia Qingchen who didn’t listen to her advice.
“When did the junior student from the D class leave?”
Zhao Tianyu smirked. “Who knows? When I came out, I didn’t see anyone else. He must have run off without even cultivating for a single day.”
Senior Martial Sister Zhou wore an expression as if she had expected this outcome. She shook her head and said, “The junior students all think too highly of themselves. Aren’t they clear of their own caliber?”
Suddenly, Senior Martial Sister Zhou realized that the light on the cultivation chamber in the center was still lit up.
“30 days?” She exclaimed in surprise.
Zhao Tianyu had noticed this long ago and also wore a solemn expression. “Only Zhu Zijian, who is ranked in first place, is able to cultivate in that particular cultivation chamber for 30 days!”
Hints of admiration and adoration flashed in Senior Martial Sister Zhou’s eyes.
Zhu Zijian, the second son of the Lone Cloud City’s number one martial aristocratic clan, the Zhu Clan.
He had been progressing very rapidly ever since he entered the martial pavilion, gaining a great lead over all the other students.
All of them couldn’t dream of catching up to him.
He was also very handsome, refined, and elegant. He was the dream guy for all the young ladies in Lone Cloud City.
In terms of his family background, martial arts, and appearance, there was no aspect in which he wasn’t a phenomenal existence that was a rare find in 10,000 people.
With all three traits fulfilled, it was apparent how great an impact he had toward the young ladies’ hearts.
Even a young lady with a dignified status like Senior Martial Sister Zhou had fallen for him.
“30 days is about Senior Martial Brother Zhu’s limit as well. He should be coming out soon. I’ll wait a little longer.” A hint of shyness and smile appeared on Senior Martial Sister Zhou’s cold face.
Zhao Tianyu sighed. Zhu Zijian was the only person who could let the martial pavilion’s ice beauty wear a shy expression!
He could only feel envious.
Suddenly, a figure walked over quickly.
However, the person only looked from afar and then turned to leave, mumbling, “As expected of Teacher. It’s been 30 days but he’s still cultivating!”
Senior Martial Sister Zhou turned and then gave chase after wearing a surprised expression.
The coldness on her face dissipated, replaced by a beaming smile. “Junior Shen, why have you come? Are you also here to cultivate?” She seemed to want to draw their relationship closer.
It was a pity that Shen Jinghong didn’t seem to care. He merely said indifferently, “Oh, Zhou Xuelin? It’s nothing. I’m just here to take a look.”
Not only was Zhou Xuelin not angry by his attitude, but she also tried to sound more intimate. “Junior Shen, our martial exchange meet will be held very soon, right? I’ll need to ask for Junior Shen to give more guidance then.”
Shen Jinghong sighed and said, “The exchange meet will be postponed to a later date. I’m waiting for teacher. He’ll personally give guidance to us then.”
Teacher?
Zhou Xuelin was secretly surprised.
What kind of person was Shen Jinghong? The person ranked last amongst the Lone Cloud’s Four Heroes?
No!
That was just his identity on the surface.
He had another identity, the youngest grandchild of the martial pavilion’s Pavilion Lord!
Given his identity, Zhen Zhilan was the only one amongst the same generation that could stand on par with his status.
Zhou Xuelin’s grandfather was only the Vice Headmaster of the martial pavilion.
She wasn’t even comparable to an ant in front of Shen Jinghong.
That was why she appeared to be so respectful toward him.
It was as Xia Qingchen had said previously. Her outspokenness was only left for people whose statuses weren’t comparable to her.
In front of people whose statuses were far above hers, the degree at which she lowered her standing wouldn’t lose out to Zhao Tianyu!
