196 Did You Think I Came Unprepared? (1/2)
Gu Wing bit her trembling, dry lips, ”Did you guys think that I would be stupid enough to come here alone? Hah, I have my followers waiting for me outside. If you want to get out of here safely, you better let me go right now. I'm warning you that my followers have weapons.”
”Oh? Really. That is interesting because when the guard walked in earlier, nobody was blocking the entrance. So where were your followers then?” Huan Hei stared at her coldly.
”Hah, I wasn't even caught yet at that point. Of course you guys wouldn't have seen them. If they were that easily exposed, then they wouldn't be called my backup, would they?” She spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva at his direction.
”Wow, you're a bad aimer. If you were going to spit, at least aim it right. Anyways, who the heck cares about your hooligans outside? We can beat them up with the number of people we have in here. Also, one call and the whole police force and their special units will rush here. Did you think that we were a joke?” Nana reminded Gu Wing that they were more powerful than her in every way possible.
”Heh, then will they be able to save you guys from a bomb? I already knew that once I enter this place, it wouldn't be easy getting out. Why would I waste my effort getting out when all of you guys could die with me?” Gu Wing coughed a few times as her voice lowered.
Ya Nuo noticed how calm Gu Wing was when she spoke about implanted bombs, ”She might be telling the truth. If that's the case, we will have to get out of here immediately.” Everyone was trying to figure out whether her words were the truth. While they thought about informing the bomb squad, they forgot to pay attention to Gu Wing.
”Hahahaha, Being able to die with all of you buried with me makes this death extra special! I'm looking forward to this building collapsing on all of us. So, before that comes....” She forced herself up from the ground when Wei Na and Nana were caught off guard. Though her ankles were injured, her arms were perfectly fine.
Gu Wing flipped her body over, tripping Wei Na and Nana. Zhen Qi and Bin Guan both shouted their girlfriend's name when they saw her falling. As their attention focused on their girlfriend, Gu Wing used all her strength to lift her body up for a minute, took out her small kitchen knife, and dashed forward. ”Yang Ya Nuo!!!”
Due to Huan Hei's kick earlier, her vision was blurred, so her angling was off. Her knife was not pointed towards Ya Nuo's body, but Bin Guan's instead. He was the closest to her from where she was lying on the ground earlier.
”No!!!” Wei Na rushed to him and pushed Bin Guan out of the way, but wasn't quick enough to dodge the attack. The knife stabbed her stomach and blood stained her light pink top, dying it dark red. Zhen Qi and Bin Guan shoved Gu Wing away from Wei Na before the knife penetrated any deeper into her body.
Wei Na held her bleeding wound as Bin Guan supported her shoulders and slowly guided her to the ground. ”Wei Na, you.. you... it's okay. Doctor Chen Mu is here. He can save you. It's okay.” He looked at her bleeding wound and covered it with more strength. Zhi Hei called for medical assistance while Chen Mu dug out his sanitized gloves to inspect her wound.
Fortunately, he had some of his herb pills and basic first aid kit with him. He checked her wound and felt relieved when he saw that the wound was not too deep. He sanitized it with whatever he had in the kit and helped her temporarily control the bleeding. After feeding her an herb pill, he told Bin Guan to keep watch of her body temperature as they wait for assistance.
”Wei Na.. you.. why did you.. why...” his gentle eyes were red, watery, and mixed with emotions. She's never seen this side of him because during their relationship, he never showed such strong feelings in front of her. Her fingers brushed against his cheeks and wiped the escaped droplet off his worried expression. ”If I had to choose a thousand times again, I would still do the same. Finally, these tears... belong to me..”
She leaned in his embrace, and he whispered words to keep her awake. He felt her body growing colder. Fear crept up his spine, through his bloodstreams, and made a hole in his heart. He felt his heart shatter witnessing her weakening condition as minutes ticked by, ”Wei Na, why are you so...? That knife was pointed at me... you.. you blocked it..”
”Bin Guan, I loved you for many years already. I'm already very happy that I am your girlfriend. If we switched roles, you wouldn't allow me to get hurt either, would you? Heh, it hurts less when the wound is on me. At this point, my heart is very content because you gave me a lot of happiness and memories.” Her voice was losing its volume as she spoke.
”Don't talk now. Save your energy. Please. I beg you. Stay awake until assistance comes okay? They're coming. Just a little while longer.” he kissed her cheeks and rubbed her arms to provide her warmth.
”I.. I once said to you that I will never make you sad, but right now, you're crying.” She sighed.
