168 First Encounter After Years (1/2)

As promised, Huan Hei brought Ya Nuo to the company the following morning. He told her that there will be an important meeting with the Bin Corporation's president regarding their future plans in cooperating on new projects.

Since Bin Guan and Bin Ruo were future potential heirs for the company, it was mandatory for them to attend the meeting. As usual, Bin Guan didn't care much about these business meetings and arrived a few minutes later than the meeting time.

It has been a long time since he had visited Xu Corps so he forgot how to get to the conference room. When he turned the corner, he bumped into Ya Nuo, who almost fell to the floor. Bin Guan caught her arm in time and she ended up in his embrace.

For some reason, his heart started to race after coming in contact with her. He thought to himself, 'must be because I rushed to look for that room and she almost fell.'

”Umm.. I'm fine now. Can you let go?” She asked politely since he did save her from falling. She rubbed her lower abdomen gently, 'phew, thank goodness he saved us or I wouldn't know what would've happened to you.'

He apologized for bumping into her and asked her for directions to the conference room, ”My apologies for bumping into you, but I am supposed to be at an important meeting right now. Can you show me where Conference room B is?”

She lifted her head, meeting his eyes with hers, ”sure. I need to head back there anyways.”

”Aren't you coming?” She stood at the corner of the hall, waiting for him. ”Ah, right! Sorry.” He quickly followed from behind and tried to get a look at her ears, but failed.

She knocked before entering and quietly sat down in the massage chair at the back of the room. Bin Guan apologized for his lateness and settled down at an empty seat next to his brother. During the meeting, Huan Hei noticed that Bin Guan wasn't paying full attention to the future proposal. Instead, he was staring at Ya Nuo, who was falling asleep in the massage chair.

”Mr. Bin, do you have any inquiries about the upcoming plans?” Huan Hei purposely asked Bin Guan to get his attention.

”Huh? Oh, no, the proposal sounds great. Hope our cooperation will be a good one.” Bin Guan smiled and continued sneaking peeks towards Ya Nuo.

When the meeting ended, Huan Hei walked over to his wife and brushed her cheeks lightly, ”Nuo, if you're tired then go back to my office and rest.”

”Hmm? Nnn... soon.” she rubbed her half opened eyelids.

He helped her up the chair and made sure to provide her support as they walked out of the conference room. When they exited, they saw Bin Guan waiting outside the hall.

Bin Guan was a bit taken aback when he saw that she was in Huan Hei's arms. Still, his smile remained the same as he walked over to introduce himself, ”Hi, I bumped into you earlier. I want to apologize for my clumsiness. My name is Bin Guan.” He stretched out his hands to the sleepy girl whose eyes were almost closed.

She was feeling drowsy and stretched out her hand to shake his, but was interrupted by Huan Hei's squeeze around her shoulders. She looked at him and noticed that he had already reached out to Bin Guan's hands to shake them, ”No need for such formality. My wife is a little tired from accompanying me today. Please excuse us for a moment.”

Just like that, Ya Nuo was pulled away back to Huan Hei's office. She was too tired to capture the look on Bin Guan's expression. After they got back to the office, she was already 95% ready for bed. Huan Hei chuckled as he carried her to his private room and tucked her in the bed. After giving her a peck on the forehead, he walked back out to his office, 'Day one and my wife already attracted some bees.'

Bin Guan left the company and immediately contacted his private investigator to gather every detail about Huan Hei's wife. The more he thought about her beautiful pair of eyes, the more he suspected her to be Xiao Ling. The familiarity he felt when he caught her in his arms instinctively told him that she was Xiao Ling.
