19 Chapter 19- Mother Xu (1/2)

After Huan Hei walked Ya Nuo to Taekwondo house, he hurriedly left. Ya Nuo grinned, 'Hei, did you think that your acting skills could cover up your emotions? Ever since you had that phone call, I could tell that you are upset about something. Almost every time your mother calls, you'll hide from me. Since I won't get an answer from you, I'll follow you and see what's wrong.'

After Huan Hei left the house, she followed him carefully to a nearby café.

'Hmm.. should I also follow him in to the café? But I don't know what is going on now and it'll be rude to interrupt them out of nowhere. Whatever, I'll see first to make sure everything is fine with him. If I see any force or violence happen, then I'll interrupt.'

-Inside the cafe-

”Mom.”

A woman in a formal black dress who is drinking tea put down her teacup and looked him in the eyes. ”Oh? You still remember you have a mother? Should I be happy to finally see my son for the first time in 3 months? You barely message or call me anymore. In your eyes, am I still your mother?”

”Mom! You know why I moved out a few months ago. I told you very clearly to not set any matchmaking sessions for me and you disrespected my decision. You even used family dinner as an excuse and mislead the other girl's family into thinking that we are going to become future in-laws! Can't you just let me stay the way I am? I'm living happily now. I'm also still young and don't need any girls from rich families stuffed into my face.”

”Son, you don't understand. I am your mother and I care for you. I also care for the future generation. Which one of your friends from our business events aren't already engaged huh? It's only us and now there are rumors saying that you like men! How could we accept these rumors. So please consider our family reputation and get a temporary fiancé.”

”Mom, these statuses mean nothing to me and I know my responsibility. I know what I need to do and I will do it, but that does not mean I will have to waste my happiness to trade for a decent reputation. Whatever my preferences are, is my privacy. I do not need anyone to cover for me or a fake fiancé just to waste everyone's time and give false hopes to the other family.”

”Son, your father has a bad heart. If you ever bring home a guy saying you are homosexual, your father will die from a heart attack. I've already investigated on your back and found out that you are hanging out with this guy the most.” Huan Hei's mother took out a bunch of pictures with Ya Nuo and Huan Hei in it.

”You! How could you do this? I am your son, not your servant or toy. You can't always keep an eye on me. So what? I have a close friend and we are hanging out in these pictures? I can't have any best friends now? Is that what it is? I know dad's condition is worsening as years go by and I already promised that I will come back as soon as I can. What else do you want?”

”Hei! I only want the best for you. I've already arranged Huang Li Na to meet here in half an hour. You better treat her nicely. The Huang family is one of the most influential family in the business world and can help you in the future.”

”This is ridiculous! I am going to leave.” he slammed the table and got up to leave.

”Hei, did you think your mother investigated for nothing? Since you said this kid in the picture is your best friend, then I wonder what would happen to him if you leave now? I heard he is pretty good in academics, but lacks the money for college. He is one of the top scholarship students for Enima university. So? I know the director of that university and can easily make one phone call. What do you think? Still leaving?”

Huan Hei's fist shook from anger as he sat back down and glared at his mother.

”That's a good boy. Now, be nice to Li Na when she comes. If anything goes wrong and you hurt her, mommy won't let your friend off easily. She's a sweetheart so don't worry about getting along with her.”

From Ya Nuo's distance she could read Huan Hei's mother's lips. A slight frown appeared on her face, 'how dare she use me as a threat against Hei? I'd rather lose my scholarship and carry a huge debt than to have him suffer this way..but what can I do? Let's see...'

She looked around and found a cosmetic and boutique store near the café. ”Hei, I'll be there soon.” She quickly ran into the cosmetic store and paid for a small pack of makeup removal wipes. After quickly removing her makeup and wig, she went to the boutique that is across the street and bought a knee-length dress. The dress was white with small flower petal designs on it. She paid for the dress and wore it to go. Before she left the boutique, she made sure her hair was neat. After exiting the boutique, she saw a black Lincoln car stopping in front of the café and a beautiful young woman stepping out of the car.

'This girl must be Huang family's young miss..indeed, she's very beautiful.”
