Chapter 5 (2/2)
“Stop spouting nonsense!” Su Lin frostily cut him off. “Today, there will only be two outcomes: either you’re the one kneeling on the ground, or they’re the ones kneeling. You have no other options!”
“But you have so many people, doesn’t this seem a little… unfair?”
“I just want to bully you with numbers. Why, do you have anything against that?” Su Lin thought that Ling Chen had chickened out at the thought of fighting so many people and cruelly taunted him.
Nanrong Hao also laughed darkly, a gloating expression written over his face, that seemed to say, ‘You’re dead for sure!’
Wanting to tease Cousin? You’re digging your own grave!
“This afternoon sure is hot! Why are you gentlemen all gathered around here? Hmm, why isn’t it Bro Chen? What are you doing over here?”
Ling Chen turned his head towards the source of the voice and found Jiang Hao walking over, with a bunch of his underlings.
“What are you doing here? ”
Jiang Hao smilingly answered, “Bro Chen, don’t tell me that you’ve forgotten this street is under my jurisdiction now?”
Ling Chen slapped his forehead. Right, how could I forget? The Five Mile Street that Jiang Hao extorted from Zhao Zhengxiong, wasn’t that the street his company was located on?
No wonder he hadn’t seen Jiang Hao and his gang for the last few days, they were all busy over here.
“Bro Chen, what do these people want with you?” Jiang Hao saw that the bodyguards were menacingly encircling Ling Chen, with malicious intent practically oozing from their body he couldn’t resist asking Ling Chen.
Ling Chen pulled a face, looking as though he had been wronged. “These people are trying to find trouble and use their numbers to bully the poor old me. ”
“Using their numbers, huh? “Jiang Han disdainfully looked at them and smirked at the thirty-odd bodyguards. “All of you sure have the guts to mess with my Big Bro Chen. If you want to use numbers, then I’ll show you numbers! Brothers, let’s go!”
With Jiang Hao’s command, dozens of men started streaming out from the nearby billiard hall and arcade. In addition to the underlings that Jiang Hao initially brought with him, there were now seventy, nearing eighty, people surrounding the bodyguards. Those with weapons brandished them menacingly, while those without found bricks that were lying around.
Su Lin and Nanrong Hao were instantly stunned.
This reversal… seemed to be too fast and drastic!
Nanrong Hao felt like crying, but his tears refused to come. If he had known the scene before him now would happen, he would have refused to go with his cousin to stir trouble no matter the consequences.
“What’s there to be afraid of?” Su Lin fumed. “All of you are professionals that I spent a large amount of money to hire! Don’t tell me that you can’t even deal with these lowlifes?”
The bodyguards however, remained silent, not daring to reply to her. They all came empty-handed, but the opponent not only had the advantage in numbers, but they were also armed with weapons and bricks. They were afraid that once the fighting began, they would be the ones getting the short end of the stick.
“Miss Su, we are all people of culture. We can just talk things through amicably, no need to resort to violence. That would not benefit anyone.” Ling Chen smilingly repeated himself.
Hearing his words, Jiang Hao and the rest could not resist snickering.
They had been acquainted with Ling Chen for a while now and understood his character well. His lips might be saying that they were all people of culture, but when he made a move, he would be more vicious and heavy-handed than anyone present.
Su Lin observed the faces of her bodyguards and knew that she would be suffering a loss today. She could only lament her own misfortune.
“Ling Chen, don’t be happy for too long! Sooner or later, I’ll teach you a lesson!” Spitting out a warning at Ling Chen, Su Lin huffily turned and walked towards her Maserati.
Nanrong Hao anxiously shouted, “Cousin, don’t leave me behind!”
“Go find your own way back.” Was the cold reply Su Lin gave before she slammed her car door shut and drove off, leaving Nanrong Hao dumbfounded.
“How tragic, your cousin actually abandoned you just like that.” Ling Chen walked to his side and shook his head sorrowfully.
Nanrong Hao was flustered and stammered, “Wh… what do you want? Let me warn you if you dare to touch a single strand of hair on my head, my elder sister definitely not let you off!”
