v2 Chapter 423: Preparation of Graphene by Redox Method (1/2)

Tesla corporate headquarters...

Qin Luo had put on his overalls and walked into the laboratory.

”Professor Qin, here are our test materials for these two days, you can look at them.” Li Min smiled and handed a bunch of materials to Qin Luo's hands.

Qin Luo wouldn't be polite about things that could help him, smiled, and carefully looked up the information.

But the next second, Qin Luo frowned.

”Professor Li, do you use the mechanical peeling method?”

The graphene produced by mechanical exfoliation method produces high-quality graphene. The exfoliated graphene is generally a few hundred nanometers or micrometer graphene sheets. The yield is very low and the transfer is also very challenging.

”Well, the quality of composite materials for graphene must be very high. In order to ensure that it is foolproof, we chose the mechanical peeling method.” Li Min said.

There are 5 commonly used methods for the preparation of graphene, 1 redox method, 2. mechanical stripping method, 3. liquid phase stripping method, 4. low pressure chemical vapor deposition method, and 5. atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition method.

The five preparation methods have their own merits. Among them, the oxidation-reduction method has the highest preparation efficiency, but the quality of the prepared graphene is relatively low.

However, the mechanical exfoliation method is difficult to prepare and the efficiency is slow, but the quality of the graphene prepared is the highest.

However, if you want to composite graphene and oxide, this places extremely high requirements on graphene itself, which is why Li Min chose the mechanical peeling method.

”Professor Qin, which method do you want to use?” Li Min asked.

”I want to make graphene through redox.”

Uh……

After saying a word, all four were shocked.

Everyone's eyes widened, staring at Qin Luo firmly.

Redox method, the quality of the graphene prepared in this way is too low to be composited with other materials at all.
