17 The Slime Stampede (1/2)

Sirius and Professor Ron soon arrived at the entrance of the forest.

”The dark forest takes up 25% of this island. It is the most dangerous place in all of the Derock islands.”

”Island?”

”I forgot that you were teleported here directly along with the otherworldlers. There are many islands in the Derock chain, but it has three main islands. The highest grade countries here are only grade 2 kingdoms, and there are only three grade 2 kingdoms here at that. Our Arcadian kingdom is the weakest, as it's grade advanced 50 years ago. The other two kingdoms are the Ogden Kingdom and the Faske Kingdom. If the Derock islands were unified by any one nation, that nation would become a grade 1 kingdom, and the path to the humans main continent would opened.”

”What, I though that-”

”Thought what? That you were in an important area of humanity? In the face of the strongest empires of man, we are nothing more than a backwater village. It's a miracle that three grade 2 kingdoms arose in such a place, but that is nothing in their eyes. In order for an offshore country to have contact with the human continent, they must be at least a grade 1 kingdom, that is an iron clad rule of humanity.”

After some more talking and walking, they arrived at their destination. Sirius then started to pick the plants that the professor told him to pick. He used inspection on one of them.

'I forgot that inspection only works on common grade items, this just makes me want to level up more.'

Then all of the sudden, he saw a slime.

”Be careful, even if it is weak don't underestimate it.”, said the professor from behind him.

Sirius then lunges at the slime, only for it to dodge at the last second. This continued for a while until he got a lucky hit.
