Thulhu felt that he was in trouble.
Walking out of the library, his eyebrows were knitted tightly.
Molly had caught him studying Old Ram!
Although he didn’t think that Molly was very suspicious, Thulhu couldn’t yet rule out the possibility that she had something to do with the true murderer.
What if Molly somehow knew the dead person in the sewers? Then, he was basically walking right into a trap.
Also, it seemed that the female officer, Marilyn, had no idea how to protect a witness.
From his experience in the past few days, Thulhu knew for sure that the police hadn’t sent anyone to protect him.
Unless, the person the cops had sent to secretly protect him was so well-trained that Thulhu couldn’t sense it at all, but that was very unlikely to be the case.
He wondered if he should write to Marilyn or just complain directly.
As a transmigrator, he had a strong sense of his civil rights.
He regarded himself as a well-behaved citizen who deserved the police’s assistance. Of course, he deliberately ignored the disrespect that he himself showed toward dead bodies.
Not far from the library, Thulhu was stopped by a small group of people.
It was Charlie, Baron, and… Andrea?
Thulhu realized that it was members of the fight club, so he grinned. “Hey, you guys doing good?”
“Not good. Bad!”
Charlie didn’t reply, so Baron answered coldly, “The president has decided to hold an open competition. You have the guts to come?”
Thulhu had defeated all the trainers, which had greatly damaged the club’s reputation.
As the president, Donald naturally had to do something to improve the situation.
However, Thulhu was a rather mysterious guy in Donald’s eyes, so Donald was extra cautious. He turned to some of his friends and did some investigation into Thulhu’s background.
Hence, it took some time before Donald decided to have this open competition.
Donald was indeed a very prudent leader.
Thulhu’s eyes flickered as he took a glance at his attributes panel. “Time? Place?”
“Tomorrow at noon. In the club!”
Andrea cast a meaningful look at Thulhu. “There’ll also be an audience, as witnesses. What do you think?”
Thulhu wanted to ask if bets would be placed on the competition.
If there were, he wanted to place one using the gold dragons he had found.
After all, he knew how well Donald could fight. Although he couldn’t defeat him with LV3 Maga Fighting, Thulhu had upgraded to LV4. The Tiger Power skill would help push him to the limits of the human body.
But…
The fact remained that he had learned how to fight from the club. The whole thing would be very embarrassing and difficult if he defeated Donald.
Thulhu would be seen as an ungrateful snob, and they would probably have to shut down the fight club.
Andrea and the rest of the club trainers were still waiting for his answer.
“I’ll go,” said Thulhu, knowing that this was the answer they all wanted.
However, he had decided to do it another way.
“We’ll see you tomorrow!”
Baron glared at Thulhu before walking away with the rest of the club members.
They were like a gang seeking revenge. Students nearby tried to stay as far away as possible from them.
Meanwhile, some students got very excited watching this, and they almost burst out with the word:
“Cool!”
…
Thulhu wasn’t going to fight Donald in front of the audience tomorrow in the club. He decided to look for Donald that night and show him the difference between their strengths.
