Chapter 9 (2/2)
Andrea was young and attractive, after all.
However, most students couldn’t afford a personal trainer.
In fact, Thulhu wouldn’t have agreed to pay this much if he wasn’t in a rush.
Fortunately, Andrea had finally agreed to teach him some fighting skills today.
“Today, I’m going to teach you some basic fighting moves.”
Standing in front of Thulhu, she showed him a few postures. “Follow me. Pay attention to your breathing. Don’t underestimate the postures. If you practice them a lot and they become part of your body memory, you’ll still be able to beat most gangsters when they’re unprepared, even if you’re not super strong.”
Thulhu agreed with her.
The most important thing was to turn any fighting skills into instinct. In the face of any sort of attack, one had to respond immediately without hesitation.
“The fighting skills we teach in this club is called Maga Fighting. It’s from the Goddess of Light Church. The union army also uses it!”
Andrea showed Thulhu the movements and explained at the same time, “There are many variations of Maga Fighting. The military version targets one’s eyes and throat. It’s fast and fierce. Our club has adopted the simplified version, called Eight Sets. They’re like formulas designed for facing eight different fighting situations. Remember to use them flexibly!”
Thulhu paid attention as Andrea taught him in great detail.
Thulhu listened to her instructions attentively. This was the training he wanted and needed.
He found that Maga Fighting really fit him well because the fighting sets targeted an enemy’s weak points in particular.
The session soon ended. It was hard for him to remember the eight sets and all the tricks in this short period of time, but he still made it.
“It’s no use if you just follow me. You gotta practice all the time. When you don’t have to think when you fight, you’ll finally start to understand how to do so!”
Andrea finished speaking, but she saw that the look on Thulhu’s face was a bit weird. “Are you okay?”
“No – it’s nothing…” said Thulhu. “I just want to practice more.”
A notification from the panel had actually just popped up.

As Thulhu had expected, skills could come not just from books, but also from people. And from people, XP points weren’t required.
Maga Fighting could increase both his constitution and strength!
Thulhu clenched his fists and a warm stream flowed over his body. He now felt a bit stronger.
Meanwhile, his memory of Eight Sets was reinforced in his mind and had directly become instinct.
“Good. Show it to me!”
Andrea nodded.
Thulhu took a deep breath. He clenched his right fist. “The first set!”
Andrea looked quite startled.
She was surprised by Thulhu’s great progress. All of a sudden, his movements improved greatly. He remembered all of the standard moves correctly.
With the help of the panel, Thulhu’s workout was much more efficient compared with ordinary people!
Thulhu enjoyed himself to the full right up until he finished all the sets. He almost wanted to shout out loud!
