14 Finding an Investor (2/2)
Back into your car, you drive to a printing workshop. You needed to make several copies of your script to show to your would-be investors.
Once you have enough copies, you drive directly to the business districts in Los Angeles.
Many film, television and music production company are establish there, but your aim is 20th Century Fox. It is one of the biggest Hollywood movie producer.
You park the car in the parking lot of the Fox Building, and then you stash the original screenplay into your Inventory for safe keeping. It simply vanishes from your hand.
You haven't fully experiment what your Inventory could do yet. This is because you were too occupied with your screenplay. However, you know that your Inventory could store up to 9 items. Items cannot be stacked onto each other, and the item must not exceed certain size. It didn't matter how heavy the item was.
You took one of the copies with you when you headed into the main entrance of the Fox Building. The wide hall within is impressive, and you take a moment to immerse yourself.
After that, you walk to the front desk. There is a young woman, busying scheduling appointments.
”What can I do for you, sir?”
The receptionist at the 20th Century Fox shows good professionalism. Her warm smile is greeted with one of your own. You immediately take a couple of seconds to see her status and attributes. You didn't strip her of her clothes as your lust is currently sated by someone else.
You learn her name from the nameplate.
”Miss Jessica. Can I see the head of the editorial department, Mr. Burton?”
”Do you have an appointment?”
”No, but this is something very important.”
Jessica pauses for a moment. ”May I know what it is?”
”Yes, you may.” You place a copy of your screenplay onto her desk. ”I'm an independent screenwriter and a director. This is the script I want Mr. Burton to look at. It is very important that he sees it for himself.”
Jessica has a suprise expression. She has seen so many people who claims to be a director, but never someone as young as you.
”What?”
You have a good idea of what she is going to say. People underestimates you because of your age and qualification. It is as expected, at least until you prove yourself.
”I don't mean to be disrespectful,” she apologises nicely. ”It's just that you look far too young to be a director.”
”Everyone tells me that, but I am really a director. Can you please give Mr. Burton a call?”
”Please take a seat.” Jessica tells you. She picks up the phone and appears to be dialing. She watches you as you take a seat and waited. Once you did, she places down the phone and continues her work and pays you no more mind.
