41 My Grand Child (1/2)
The old madam sat on the couch lost in thought, she did see the child when she was brought in but she didn't pay that much attention.
She was sure that none of her three children would want anything to do with her anymore not to talk of involving her in the life of her grand children.
But she was in the same house with one, she had always wanted a grand child and now she had one but it had to be with that woman, the woman whom she hated the most!
The Old madam didn't know how long she sat there thinking but was suddenly snapped out of her daze when she saw the girl in front of her.
The little girl had features of her mother but the old mad didn't feel disgusted, she felt happy, she smiled for the first time in a long time touching the girl's hair
”Are you my Gramma?” Her cute little voice rang out.
The Old madam looked at the girl dotingly before nodding gently
This was her grand child, her own blood!
she hated the fact that Shola was the mother but she still smiled at the girl
She placed her on her lap and asked ”Do you like gramma?”
The little girl nodded, she smiled brightly at the old madam
”Ella! ” Sholana called, she didn't want her daughter close to that woman!
God knows what she will do
”But mommy I am talking to gramma ”
Shola quickly took her daughter from the Old madam's hands and cast her a cold glance
”Please don't come close to her again otherwise, I don't know what I will do”
For the first time the old madam was speechless in front of Shola, she wanted to say that it was her grand child but, what right did she have to say that?
”Mommy don't yell at gramma” Ella said as she struggled out of her mom's grasp and stood in front of the old madam protectively
Both the old madam and Shola were speechless.
The old madam looked at the little girl in front of her and couldn't help but love her, some how she was grateful....she was grateful to Shola for giving her such a bright light in her dark life
”I thought the only thing you were capable of was destroying reputations. I guess, if you can also train a child this good, you are not so bad to look at now”
Shola watched the old madam walk away with her mouth agape ”was that meant to be a compliment?, because if it was she was bad at it”
Ella blinked innocently at her mother, she didn't understand a word.

Nathan called his father, not because he wanted to go back but because his father had given him the responsibility of taking care of his mother and to be honest, he was tired.
Tired of all her schemes, right from when he was young all she did was scheme, he never had any motherly love
he was just a tool to her
He wished so much that things wouldn't turn out like this but
He just couldn't do it any more!
Of course as usual his father laughed at him a bit before accepting, he too was bored and no longer had any toys to play with
he said.
The Old madam who stood by her son's door was speechless, Sheila gripped with fear
Had she really crossed the line?
