11 Wheres Dad? (1/2)
Shola could now understand why the old her refused to speak of it. It was like a dream, a nightmare but unfortunately it wasn't.
”Are you ok?”
Shola looked into Nathan's eyes but unlike before it couldn't calm her down, his were wrapped around her gently but all she could think of was that man's face, she suddenly pushes him away leaving everyone in the hospital room surprised.
”What is it?” Nathan asked but he already knew what the problem was. He had almost forgot what it felt like to be stared at by his wife when her eyes showed no emotions at all.
”Do you remember everything now?” Nathan distanced himself from her to avoid anymore problems.
”Nope, just something I wanted to forget”
Shola knew how deep a scar that night gave her but after remembering what Joanna told her about herself she wasn't ready to push away the people she loved again. She hated the look on the maids faces when ever they saw her.
She smiled at Nathan assuredly
”But I'm fine now” when she stared at his face she saw that man's face so she quickly looked away, it was scary! but right now she knew that the one thing she hated more than spiders was men!.

”She is fine now but she has to stay for further observation before she can be discharged”
Lilian spoke softly to her cousin as if afraid someone would hear
”Nathan, I'm afraid that poison is stronger than we thought!”
Nathan's brows creased in confusion ”I thought you already detoxified the poison?”
”We also thought so but, the first time she passed out was definitely due to this poison and this time also”
Nathan looked at Lilian, a lot of thoughts going through his head....
”What happens if....the poison isn't cured?, what happens to Sholana?”
Lilian's lips curled up slightly ”I'm afraid she will not only lose her memory but her sanity too”
Nathan nodded calmly, he collected the prescriptions from Lilian and left her office.
Lilian sighed as he left, her aunt was really getting braver everyday. First it was her husband now it was Nathan's wife!
Lilian looked at the watch on her wrist and absentmindedly murmured to her self ”Visiting hours would be over by now”
Mrs. Lana brought a bowl of porridge and put it in front of Shola. She brought a spoon and bottled water placing gently down, Shola stared at her mother with complicated emotions, she had so many things she wanted to apologize for and lots of questions she wanted to ask
”Mom?”
”Yes darling” Mrs. Lana still focused on what she was doing raised her head immediately when she heard her daughter's question
”Where's Dad?” Shola stared at her mothers surprised eyes, she hadn't seen her father ever since this incident and the last time, she asked her mother this question twice before but she always changed the topic
”Darling eat this while its still hot ok?”
Mrs.Lana put the disposable spoon into Shola's hand trying to dodge the question.
Shola knew she was going to do this, she thought of her little brother whom she hadn't seen also and she was suddenly frustrated
”Let me rephrase that!, Where is Henry?”
Mrs.Lana kept quiet, she knew this question was going to to come sooner or later and she thought she was prepared for it but she wasn't
