28 VACATION (2/2)

Beside Madhu, Param shook his head as he watched her enjoy bullying the little girl. These few days had been the most awful days for Jack and his bunch. These unruly pirates were severely 'disciplined' by Madhu, and those who did not obey or reach her target were beaten up badly. If not for being a prime witness, even he would not believe that people could change so quickly.

Jack entered the deck from below and stood beside Madhu as he smiled.

”Honorable Madam, the rooms have been cleaned and the cooking staff has been repeatedly instructed to maintain cleanliness while cooking. Are you enjoying your stay here ?”

Param was too numb to this. Jack had been completely 'transformed' by Madhu, and now he almost behaved like their butler. In one way, it was his fault for telling her about his fantasy of having a butler like Alfred, Bruce Wayne's butler.

”Mmmm...it's okay, I guess ?...But I am bored..” Madhu said sleepily.

”Honorable Madam is bored ? What should we do ? Madam, do you enjoy sword fights ? or fist fights ? Or perhaps a dance ? Elena, Laura, quick ! Show honorable madam and honorable sir the dance you show me at night!”

”Wait !” Param hurriedly stopped this person who had become engrossed into the role of a butler. He had no interest in watching a show which was part of his bedroom activities.

”Why don't you instead tell us about the pirates ?”

”Hmmm...honorable sir, there isn't much to talk about the pirates. Most of us enter this business to escape from living as slaves. In the Fairy Continent, the social status of a person is dependent on his race. Goblins are slaves, dwarfs are normal citizens, elves are the lower nobility, while the oni are the higher nobility. Of course, the royal family consists of only the fairy race, and other fairies if exist would be equal to fairies...”

He said that as he glanced at the 'honorable madam'.

”Speaking of us pirates, it wouldn't be a lie to say that the goblins rule the ocean. We have spread to all waters, and are in contact with all continents. The spies also make use of us to transfer various information to their continents.”

”And how is the life of goblins ?” Madhu suddenly asked.

”Not good, honorable madam. That's why we are forced into the waters. Although we have numbers, we are not united and neither we have the resources to develop ourselves.”

After a little chit chat, the former pirate now butler Jack Luffy went off to prepare for the evening dinner.

”Their life doesn't seem to be good. Can you do anything ?” Madhu asked Param. She had personally experienced how these pirates lived, and although Black Pearl was a large ship, the pirates could not afford to maintain it.

Param shook his head at her answer. ”Not yet.”

Indeed, not yet ! Because he had a vague plan, slowly taking shape in his mind.

Prince Shur didn't have to waste time writing report on coming back from his journey; they would be handled by Elder Bahut Accha as well as the captain of the troop. After all, officially he wasn't even part of the expeditionary group !

He visited his mother, the Emperor's concubine and then searched for his brother Bhondu. It wasn't difficult to find him, and they enthusiastically greeted each other. After some pleasantries and small talk, Shur arrived at the main point.

”Brother, I need your help. You are much smarter than me and perhaps only you can understand this. This is a cultivation technique I found...”

He passed Bhondu the cultivation technique and the diagram that he stole from the tent. Bhondu read the scroll and was confused. There were many things which he didn't understand, but he could tell that the technique was extremely high level and could allow one to perfectly control their Profound Energy.

Then he glanced at the diagram and shivered. His body shook as if he was having a heart attack.

”Brother, are you okay ? What is happening to you ? Damn it, is that diagram some evil sorcery ?! Quickly tear it ..”

”NO !” Bhondu sent a vicious slap across Shur's face.

”Sorry. Do you realize what this is ?” he asked Shur enthusiastically.

”Of course not. That's why I showed you.”

Bhondu explained to him the importance of the diagram and borrowed it for research. Although they had the scroll and the diagram marked with the energy passages, it would take some time for them to familiarize with it.

Of course, the reason Bhondu borrowed it was to show it to his mysterious girlfriend.
