Chapter 43 - An Upright Victory (2/2)
In a flash, the sword led Lin into the sky like a fountain.
Clang!
With a violent collision of the swords, the forces of the Thunder Snake in Rage was torn into pieces.
Zhou Yun, knocked unmercifully to the air by the violent airflow produced by the Swords Rotating to Make Winds, was so badly hurt that he spat a mouthful of blood after falling to the ground.
Swish!
Lin Yun, continuing the attack, pressed on with his sword.
Under his skillful control, the tip of the sword came to a stop before reaching Zhou Yun’s heart.
“You lost.”
Lin Yun stared at him and said calmly.
Not a sound could be heard on the contest field. After watching the powerful Flowing Wind Swordplay, all the spectators had foreseen the result already, but it was still beyond their expectation that Lin Yun could win so rapidly.
“Ha-ha, I did? Thrust if you want.” Zhou Yun sneered.
“As you wish!”
Raising his eyebrows, Lin Yun drove the sword further with strength.
With shouting in surprise, the spectators turned their heads away at the same time, not wanting to see Zhou Yun died from his heart being pierced by the sword.
Clang!
A soft armor glistening with a streak of faint light was revealed when Zhou Yun’s robe was torn into pieces in a flurry of crisp sounds. Zhou Yun was still intact after the thrust.
“A magical weapon!”
It was recognized at once that Zhou Yun was wearing an armor made from the magical materials.
It was shameless that Zhou Yun would wear a magical armor when confronting an antagonist at a lower stage.
“Go to hell!”
With Zhou Yun’s wild shout buried in the spectators’ laughter, he rose to his feet, intending to counterattack.
Clad in armor, Zhou Yun was destined to win, for he couldn’t be hurt by any weapon.
Lin Yun dodged his attack with ease by the perfect use of Wild Goose Script. Without panic or nervousness, Lin Yun employed the Flowing Wind Swordplay, as well as the Flowing Shadow of Reflective Light, with the assistance of his greatly promoted inner force.
Swish!
Lin Yun suddenly disappeared without a trace before his eyes.
Before he regained his consciousness, Zhou Yun was surrounded by the twinkling shadows of the sword. With the glistening light spinning rapidly around him, Zhou Yun could discern nothing but the remnant silhouette of the man and his sword.
Clang!
Lin Yun returned to where he stood before with the sword sheathed. As soon as he drew back the sword, the blood gushed out from the wounds on Zhou Yun’s body, like numerous red flowers came in full bloom at the same time.
Except for the skin shielded by the armor, his arms and legs were covered with wounds.
“I’ll kill you!”
Tortured by severe pain, Zhou Yun pounced on Lin Yun after realizing his failure.
Lin Yun kicked squarely on his chest, sending him into the air like a sandbag.
“My son!”
Seated on the high platform, Zhou Yun’s father, who turned ghastly pale, pounced on the stage and caught him just before he was about to fall on the ground in a crumpled heap.
Watching Zhou Yun’s body covered with wounds, his father glared at Lin Yun with his eyes full of murderous intent.
“Filthy sword slave, how dare you hurt my son so badly. You’re so dead!”
As a Sect Elder, Zhou Yun’s father actually dashed to the stage and attacked Lin Yun to the face of all the disciples and elders within the sect, totally regardless of the rules.
Being a little surprise, Lin Yun had never thought the father and son would be that shameless.
Boom!
The Blood Dragon Horse suddenly rushed onto the stage, intending to kick Zhou Yun’s father with its front leg.
“Just in time!” Lin Yun laughed.
He, following the horse, unsheathed the sword and drew it towards Zhou Yun’s father.
With Zhou Yun in his arms, he, glancing at the raging horse and then Lin Yun surrounded by his powerful inner force, suddenly had no idea how to defend against the enemies.
Finally, he withdrew the move in grievance, like a drowned mouse.
All the spectators were stupefied. As powerful as he was, the elder was forced back by Lin Yun and his horse.
