Chapter 40 - Swaggering Off (1/2)

Seeing that it was nothing valuable, Tong Hu laughed. “No problem. But in general, only alchemists need to practice the incredibly boring Spirit Leading Script. It’s of little help to you.”

“It doesn’t matter. I also need a seed of the White Remnant Flower.”

Lin Yun already had a detailed plan, but there was no need to tell Tong Hu the truth.

“Okay.”

To Tong Hu’s surprise, it was so easy to satisfy Lin Yun whom he thought would pick some precious treasures instead.

He saw Lin Yun off in rapture by saying “welcome back” repetitively after fetching him a few seeds of the White Remnant Flower.

Turning his head when stepping out of the Wan Bao Pavilion, Lin Yun let out a sigh.

He had spent more than 3000 inferior spiritual stones here last time, while today, the number actually increased to over 50,000.

Wan Bao Pavilion was really an unfathomable abyss which would engulf all of your money. However, it was a pity that Lin Yun fell into its trap willingly.

“It’s late already, so I should return to the Qingyun Sect.”

With a glimpse of the sky, Lin Yun quickened his steps, and was ready to leave the White Water City, which was more crowded than usual due to the auction.

There were still numerous warriors sauntering on the streets even at twilight.

“Charge! Charge! Charge!”

About ten minutes later, Lin Yun heard a flurry of clip-clop from the afar. Someone was rushing towards them on the horseback.

Except for the noise, Lin Yun could also sense the compelling aura emitted by evil spirits that were approaching, which forced his hair to stand on end from a distance.

“Get out of my way!”

The shrill sound of the horsewhips, as well as the loud reproach floated to Lin Yun’s ears.

The crowded street fell into disorder all of a sudden.

All of the citizens stepped away in fear.

Lin Yun looked up and saw a group of people darting towards him unscrupulously on their horses.

The fur of the leader’s strong horse was bloody red.

Every time it stamped its hooves, the deafening sound would shake the whole street. Given its eyes filled with homicidal intent and the threatening evil aura surrounding it, it was definitely a monstrous beast.

With a careful discerning at the man on the horse, Lin Yun turned sullen. It was the young lord of the Yuns.

Other warriors on horses behind him were at least the same as Lin Yun whose martial skills have reached the sixth level.

The young lord fixed his eyes on Lin Yun with a grim smile on his face. “Lin, I have been waiting for you for so long. Now that you have come to the White Water City, you should stay a little longer!”

Since being humiliated at the auction by Lin Yun, the young host had put his servants on the tail of him as soon as he left the salesroom.

After getting the information about his lingering at Wan Bao Pavilion, the young lord called his guards together to lurk on the street, intending to catch Lin Yun directly when he stepped out.

The once crowded street became quiet instantly with all the people escaping at a tremendous speed.

The warriors at both sides of the street stared at Lin Yun in sympathy.

“He didn’t flee after offending the young lord of the Yuns.”

“The young host is a well-known ruffian in this city. Those who offended him would suffer the most severe punishment.”

“The horse he is riding must be the monstrous beast Blooded Dragon Horse whose martial skills had already reached the seventh level!”

“It seems to be the legendary horse which is guarding their yard. How can the black sheep ride it out on such a random occasion.”

The young host, followed by his guards, was rushing towards Lin Yun aggressively on the street, while the distance between them was reduced to less than a kilometer in a short period.

With plenty of ideas popping in his head, Lin Yun’s first choice was to blend into the crowd at the side of the street, but on a second thought, he was sure that his enemies must have been more familiar with the White Water City than he was.

Sooner or later, Lin Yun would be caught by the young lord. Fighting with more than twenty guards at the sixth level simultaneously would surely exhaust his energy and inner power.

Lin Yun had no choice but to confront them directly.

At such an instant, Lin Yun, with his sharp eyes like an unsheathed sword, had made the decision.

He merely had one chance, so he had to defeat all the enemies with one strike. Otherwise, the reinforcement from the Yuns would arrive.
